You don't take off the glasses to see through ideology. Fascists don't diverge from a pre-ideological, objective reality, they aren't simply misinformed; they enjoy fascism. To quote Anti-Oedipus: "Hitler got the fascists sexually aroused." This is why tireless explanation alone does nothing to convince them out of their position, and possibly even feeds it. Žižek says a lot of silly stuff, but he's absolutely right in seeing the radicality in Freud and Lacan.
racism is just caused by people having misinformed ideas on race, and criminals just don’t properly reason about their actions or are immoral. the state exists simply to protect everybody’s human rights, which are established through rational discourse and proper argumentation. class interests? boorswasee? those are old bad ideas, now we have better ones like stakeholder capitalism <3
bit of a rant but i hate how every time i mention that i’d prefer to have authority and control over my body without having to convince a team of psychologists that i’m trans (plus another psychiatrist for a second opinion), i get told how good it is they’re being so thorough.
i can enlist in the fucking army and get my entire face tattooed with less hurdles, but getting access to the care i know i need to not rot away in dysphoria? think about all the confused cis people demanding hormones en masse!! either that or they’re not convinced i’m trans bc “there weren’t any signs!”
i use the king c gillette, but aside from the packaging assuring men how manly they are it’s just a regular stainless steel razor, also bought a big box of bic blades which seem decent.
but yeah shaving under my jaw is the worst :(
