I think you might be confusing community with instance? If so, then yeah you can't do that nor block a whole instance (as an user) on lemmy. Kbin can do it, but I haven't tested it

Got earlier this year. Shit was rough. First 7 days were miserable, never got sick this bad, then started getting better. But the cough lasted for almost a month. Not lasting effects though, thankfully.

I think it open on the instance that it was posted and if it's not your home instance, you can't do much. A maybe more feasible way is saving the post, then going to your instance on your browser or another app that supports blocking and do it there.
