Hello, if i try to subscribe a whatever lemmy community from a *Pleroma istance (pleroma/akkoma/rebased) i do not receive anything back in timeline

So, i have this Bitsa prepaid card that is supposed to accept bitcoin transfer that can converted into fiat money. I used it two or three times just to have a tool in case. I think i have maybe 5 euro left there, to keep it in use.

All the last week kept asking me to change the SCA code but then it failed with something that look like an https failure.

Today i tried from a computer browser and i discovered that my (fixed) ip is blocked.

So I opened them a ticket, they unblocked the ip and then they asked me to uninstall the android app, reinstall the app and try from that for going on with troubleshooting.

The app is not available anymore in google play for my country

I told them with a screenshot proving.

They counter that the tech support say it's available in my country.

Btw, anyone got an apk ? :-)

Hello, don't know if this is a UX bug or a feature request but anyway, here it is, i'll try to describe my use case scenario

A post in a community, especially the pinned one, is something that can last for weeks, months, years.

Maybe a comment, or a question, a leaf can be tied in a very specific thread position, adding specific new found informations in a late addition

Can we have new posts and comments in a clear different colour or in bold maybe ?

The backend seems to know which comments i have not read because it's said in yellow, and link to those posts with new comments appear with a

?scrollToComments=true

but then if i click it, i don't seems to be able to find just the new comments.

i thread di maggiore successo, magari quelli pinned in cima alle communities spesso hanno moltissimi commenti con domande, che haihai gia' letto e spesso ne hanno di nuove a cui magari potrei rispondere

Pare che, sulle ali dell'entusiasmo, molti neo amministratori di server lemmy, abbiano lasciato le iscrizioni aperte senza captcha e verifica dell'email.

Today, a bunch of new instances appeared in the top of the user count list. It appears that these instances are all being bombarded by bot sign-ups.

For now, it seems that the bots are especially targeting instances that have:

• Open sign-ups
• No captcha
• No e-mail verification

I have put together a spreadsheet of some of the most suspicious cases here.

If this is affecting you, I would highly recommend considering one of the following options:

1. Close sign-ups entirely
2. Only allow sign-ups with applications
3. Enable e-mail verification + captcha for sign-ups

Additionally, I would recommend pre-emptively banning as many bot accounts as possible, before they start posting spam!

Questions: have you ever cashed out a quite substantial (meaning life changing after paid taxes) amount of money to fiat ? Or do you spend it monthly from your savings using tools like prepaid cards ?

The only time I really spent some crypto was with a bitsa card as an experiment but it was just a couple of flight tickets worth.
