This has me looking now... I have a tiny 11" blue dell inspiron with an M3 that I've been tinkering on as a dev laptop, refreshed it with Debian+XFCE but I can't replace parts on it like I should.

Not sure about comfort… but I always find myself picking rocket league up on my steam deck for a few matches. Probably because it’s a bit mindless and lets my brain take a break by only reacting in the moment.

For this I use a python script run via cron to output an html directory file that lists all the folder contents and pushes it to my cloud storage. This way if I ever have a critical failure of replaceable media, I can just refer to my latest directory file.

I’m in the process of setting up matrix / synapse for this case. Usability is yet to be determined because I need to recruit a sibling or two to test it out more, but I do have calls working on the element x app. Definitely not for the light hearted based on all the config options and possibility of federation.

Strange! Is it an issue with the setup or your woodpecker config file in the repo? Actioning on push is merely configuring steps after:

when:
  - event: push
    branch: main

I set up forgejo recently myself and ended up picking woodpecker. Lots of plugins available for standard stuff and relatively flexible. Docker config was easy and it spins up and shuts down docker containers to run the integrations, you can set up limits for number of concurrent jobs, things like that. You could see this as a plus or not, but woodpecker also has settings for secret management outside of the repo - global, repo-scoped, and user-scoped.

For cloud drive / sync functionality I went with Filen. Great storage tiers and price along with Linux support by default. They also do photo backups for mobile.

Yep I found another provider altogether. Didn’t make sense to keep paying them while waiting around to be considered an equal customer

Recently been working on setting up forgejo to migrate away from GitHub. My open source stuff I’ve actually put onto codeberg and I’ve set up a handful of pull mirrors on my local instance for redundancy. This weekend I’ve been testing out woodpecker-ci for automating pushing files to s3 for some static websites for repos on codeberg as well as my forgejo instance. Today will tell if that is successful!

That’s a wonderful way to use that kde desktop feature!

As far as I’m aware, Friendica does this. One feed, lemmy posts, mastodon toots, and Pixelfed posts all there. Lemmy is trickier because you can’t follow people and depending on the way you look at it, comments can show up as individual posts.

I’ve been asked to coordinate a “boule” (similar to bocce) tournament for a relatives wedding as a fun thing to do for those coming a few days early (destination wedding).

After doing a little research, I’ve found there are a lot of variations of this game so I’m curious if any of you play this and what your recommendations are for a simple version of this game. There will be people from Europe, US, and Canada at the wedding so I want to make sure it is easy to understand and explain to everyone.

They also encourage you to provide info on yourself (create an account, provide birthday) to even use the screen on the seat back…

Hi all, thank you for the community and hope you are all doing well.

I feel like the vegan presence on lemmy is quite small compared to what it was on the other site and I’m curious how we can build our community here.

I’ve been vegan for over 7 years and am generally a lurker on sites like this but think that due to all the climate awareness I would rather be the single person “enlightening” others to a different worldview than someone solely upvoting others who have the wherewithal to post and put their voice out there.

Maybe this isn’t necessarily the vibe people like but awareness is everything. What do you think?

I made a post on a community on the Lemmy.world instance and I can only see it from my discuss.online account, not a separate lemmy.world account. Is this a federation issue? Not sure why this would happen if we’re federated with lemmy.world. Thanks for feedback!

I recently got a magic flight launch box to try out since I’ve read dry herb vapes are better on your lungs.

I’ve used bowls, bubblers, bongs, and joints most of my life so not well versed in the non-burning flower options (probably not the right phrase).

Curious what others think of the magic flight vapes or if I should look for something more sophisticated with temperature control.

For background I don’t smoke a lot at a time but do it most days in the evenings to take a load off my brain.

Thanks for the feedback and community!
