I'm saying it's false to call yourself a 'conservative' if you align with the US conservative movement because it is a fascist movement.

There was a good reason, to stop the police and ICE from attacking people, that's not why they were sent though. In the past the National Guard has been called in to stop local police, like during the end of segregation when local authorities opposed race-mixing in the 60s. But the purpose in this case is to escalate tensions and push the narrative of a 'violent insurrection'.
Numerous people have been sent to the ER after being attacked by police, including a UK journalist who needed emergency surgery after his calf muscle was impaled by a 40mm 'rubber bullet'. People have been shot by teargas and other munitions at close range and been trampled by horses from the LAPD. Many of the fires seen were started by flashbangs and other munitions used by the police. They also have 500 US Marines on standby, which is also only for the purpose of agitating people further and selling the unrest as an 'invasion' to his base.
This is why dehumanization is always part of fascist propaganda. You can't remove empathy completely from most people, but you can make them see a group as less than them and the empathatic response will be reduced. That's why the left uses terms like undocumented immigrants versus illegal aliens. Calling them 'illegals' is a key step for generating the capacity in people to murder them en masse.
It's somewhat hyperbolic to say a lot on the right are actual nazis, but this dude is the most neo-Nazi motherfucker and deserves everything that should come to Nazis.
Yeah why incite a civil war, just ignore the invasion and let them win without resistance /s
Fascism isn't conservative. 'Conservatives' in the US are mostly heartless white-supremacists hiding under the established parties to enact neo-nazi policies under the guise of 'patriotism' and civility.
Are you saying it doesn't matter if the majority of people are against a fascist regime? In many countries that probably would be true, but the US is massive and spread out with millions of guns and many state agencies that might not be as sympathetic to these sorts of crackdowns or would oppose a militant escalation against protests. It's not just the right who have guns also, nearly all political tendencies recognize the need to be armed. An anti-government insurgency would look much different here than what we've seen in the past.
People on the side of the cops will learn soon they are on the wrong side of polite society, and the wrong side of history.
There are some laws that even cops can't ignore, such as the law of gravity when a brick is in the air.
Not trying to defend NG or any US troops, but those examples were from the LA police, not the national guard. Of all the worst direct violence I've seen so far from LA, National Guard haven't been the ones attacking. From reports I've heard they are mostly standing around federal property because that's all they have jurisdiction at.
They will block the pepperballs, rubber bullets might break them but most could withstand the hit better than your eyeball. It would lessen the injury from any projectiles they're currently using, not actual bullets.
It was common rhetoric among the supporters at the time to hang the Democratic officials that were certifying the count and then Mike Pence when he didn't go along with their plans, they had even built a makeshift gallows out front before the assault.
