Dan Rachow, ehemaliges AfD-Mitglied und langjähriger Greifswalder Polizist, darf trotz Amtsmissbrauchs wieder in den Polizeidienst zurückkehren. Das Verwaltungsgericht Greifswald stufte die rechtswidrige Datenabfrage politischer Gegner lediglich als „mittelschweres Dienstvergehen“ ein – und nicht als Grund, ihn dauerhaft aus dem Amt zu entfernen.1

Die Betroffenen der illegalen Abfragen wurden damals von Rechtsextremen kontaktiert und eingeschüchtert. Als sie sich an die Polizei wandten, mussten die Beamten ihnen mitteilen, dass ihre Telefonnummern offenbar durch eine Person aus dem Polizeiapparat abgefragt worden waren. KATAPULT MV liegen die Akten der Angelegenheit vor.Das Recherchemedium Endstation Rechts berichtete am 24. Juni, dass weitere Betroffene seit diesem Vorfall den Kontakt zur Polizei vollständig meiden. Das Vertrauen in die Behörden sei nicht mehr vorhanden, sagen mehrere von ihnen. Nun besteht die Sorge, dass politisch motivierter Datenmissbrauch künftig nicht konsequent verfolgt wird.
