It's sad that is something to even make note of these days. Source trusts that is.
So this could be boiled down to "use or lose it". Idk, maybe this might be part of it. Maybe a part of the prevalence of short form media blah blah attention span.

Mine has a few seconds buffer, where the magnetron turns off but everything else keeps going. After about 3 seconds it all stops then beeping starts.
