I've heard a few analysts say that the verdict is not a surprise. I'm not a lawyer, care to explain why you consider this case weak?

Holy shit this looks so much like the premises of WWI

She has enough money for good attorneys, and probably has more judgement than Trump in choosing them. I'm sure she'll be prepared and able to defend herself.

I'm a man, so do what you want with this advice :)

I don't think that you are being too judgemental. It's okay to have some sort of moral compass and when you do, it's ok to be uncomfortable around people who don't align with it. We need to identify to the people we hang out with, so if their behaviour doesn't fit week with our values there will be some sort of tension, inevitably.

Detaching yourself from this group can be a source of anxiety since it feels like making yourself an outcast but there are people out there who you might feel more comfortable around. Finding them might not be easy, but I'm sure you can!

The [AI] safety stuff is more visceral to me after a weekend of vibe hacking,” Lemkin said. I explicitly told it eleven times in ALL CAPS not to do this. I am a little worried about safety now.

This sounds like something straight out of The Onion.

There's no such thing as American gastronomy.

Huh. I just saw that you need to be 30 to run for Senate in the US...

Please ignore my first comment :)

You'd have a hard time to demonstrate this is not discrimination against old people.

You may be right... I just wish I could be as optimistic as you are. The political opposition to Trump's changes is very, very weak, and with all the money ICE has now, I'm afraid any popular movement will be swiftly repressed.

Let's hope US citizens are as resilient as they believe they are.

There are many counterexamples to the third reich. China and Russia have been police states for a long time, with no end in sight.

This is actually a good argument, but the problem is that the other side don't give a dick about rationality, the rule of law or anything that looks like a coherent political opinion. Democrats are still trying to win using rules that were thrown out the window by the GOP in January.

A Mississippi sheriff said he was “ashamed” and apologized after five of his former deputies pleaded guilty to charges related to the torture of two Black men.
