These are all very excellent points, thank you!

The fight needs to be bigger, though. Individual action is important and does cause a snowball effect with enough momentum, but we're fighting multiple full-on _industries _ that manufacture and/or spread vast amounts of misinformation. And that's just in the US.

That's the daunting part, and a big part of what I was lamenting.

“A lie can travel halfway around the world while the truth is putting on its shoes.”

– Mark Twain

I'm not sure how to fight this constant assembly line of misinformation coming from hate groups like the current party in power, but we need something g more effective than the truth. Than words. The truth needs to be out there loudly and rapidly, but more needs to be done.

I hate to be the guy in the meeting saying something's wrong without providing any kind of solution, but that's where I'm at. It's easy to say that news shouldn't be for-profit, that creating and disseminating patently false information for the purpose of intentionally misleading the public should be punished as something like slander or something, or that the "news" complex in the US needs to be dismantled...but those are long, long term goals. And likely not realistic to expect in my lifetime.

It's how authoritarians spread the fear and hate they need to survive, though. We have to cut this misinformation flow out somehow.

I dunno. Just venting. Frustrated. Sick of the lies thay prop up this dessicated zombie of a failed capitalist state. Sick of the inaction for any opposing factions in the government.

That's all. Carry on with what you were doing.

Stunned. Shocked. Gobsmacked. My gast has been flabbered. A psychotic dog-killing attempted-mass-murdering terrorist is a religious right winger? But his god wrote a Holy Listicle of Top Ten Things You Shouldn't Do and killing was in it.

Next you'll tell me that this wasn't personally motovated and he had lists in his car of targets and gatherings that were all solely Democrat or left-leaning.

I'm glad the info is being disseminated, don't get me wrong. The turbo-violent, wildly insecure, hate-filled, extremist terrorist party currently in charge of the country has definitely been trying to paint this as some kind of false flag, so the truth needs to be out there no matter how obvious it is.

I'm just exhausted that everyone else keeps continuing to play by rules that have been broken so hard by the hate-cult-turned-political-party that they're going back and stepping the shattered pieces. Any opposition they have refuses to stop wringing their hands and trying to compromise. You can't play by broken rules and expect the same outcome. This is the start of what you get when you do.

Remember when Nazis scattered like cockroaches when discovered? Granted, it hasn't been any time in the last couple of decades, but I remember.

Time to go back to making Nazis afraid of being found out. Deeply, deeply afraid. Once they go underground again, then we can work on solid educational requirements So people learn the signs of fascism, extremism, and how to spot and avoid cults - regular ones and cults of personality.

We haven't had bipartisan civility since the already hard right drank deep from the Trump cult hate & fear cocktail in 2015. We've had years of right-wing government reps shifting to extremism and refusing to compromise with their peers. There hasn't been bipartisan civility here in years.

It just seemed like it for a bit because we had a too-short non-right super-majority where they could only cry into their pillows while progress was being made instead of the usual GOP nonsense of pushing money away from necessary programs in order to give rich people more money and call it "tax relief", despite taxes never going down. Can't believe people still fall for that BS.

You'll be relatively fine if you're white. Otherwise that train is stopping in El Salvador first.

Nah, I'm with you. Completely unsurprising.

There was a post about this on the Framework Community forum ages ago, and as of the last time I checked (which by now was like six months the ago) the only solution was to tape over a few of the exhaust holes on each side of the back of the GPU module.

It's counterintuitive, but it actually helps airflow since most of the heat actually comes from the CPU, so the hot air is forced out the sides more which helps keep the CPU cooler. It also helps the whine when the fans are at full tilt.

Yes, they are. That's why they released a gaming GPU as an option at launch.

Let me tell you something as an American, buddy: if the next Bond is one of us then do you know how I'm going to feel? I'm going to be unbelievably, completely disappointed as well. Fuckin Amazon would do it, too. Would definitely be one of the final nails in the franchise's coffin.
