Well. The student protestors were a big flashpoint for a while. That kind of died down a bit due to a) some operations being run by feckless libs who gave in to vague promises And b) Summer. It’s a bit hard to run a college based protest over the summer, even with good intentioned people. Heat, plus people scattering to various places throw some organizational hurdles.

Some I think will likely pick up again in the Fall, but that depends on the location in particular. Some organizations are better organized and more militant/ideologically sound than others.

I had way too many brain worms set into myself by society, so I actually hard avoided the female player character stereotype, among other things. Didn’t want to be weird, and I definitely didn’t want to show or validate any repressed fears, was VeryNormal in avoiding it.

Reminds of me of trans healthcare. It’s the Wild West in a lot of ways simply because doctors don’t give enough of a shit to “properly” do advanced studies of things. Like, we know the basic tools are safe, but a lot of bigger questions about medical patterns you fit, how longer term HRT might affect the body in one way or another, it’s a big unknown space, but a lot of doctors just shrug and ask what you really are and stop thinking there.

Like even something that’s sorta becoming a common treatment, like Progesterone still gets slapped with like “unverified” smears, despite years of reports through the grapevine, because again they can be added to actually do official research.

When I was closeted I heard some friends of mine at the time in med school joke about trans people, and basically say they taught absolutely nothing about them. Among other hurtful thing.

Kamala is a good candidate compared to Biden. Which is entirely a testament to how terrible he was. Because she’s shit too, but is a massive upgrade compared to senile and face for genocide.

Which might potentially be enough to put her over the line on Trump.

The AOC thing annoys me too. Could just be the awkwardness of talking shit about someone you personally know, or could be lib whispering. Either way it’s annoying. Though I’m not really the target of his propaganda mission in regards to electoralism.

What I’m curious now, is how much Kamala is going to copy Biden’s policies and messaging. While she won’t have any big shifts, I bet she can see a few tone shifts could make big impacts. Denounce a few Biden actions and vaguely promise you’ll do different could earn her a lot of support.

That said though, Biden is still President, and he’s vindictive. If she goes to far away from his “legacy”, he might pull the knives out. Or his handlers might.

I wonder what balance they will chart.

When you take a “pay cut” because you very definitely care about altruistically serving the country.

He's totally got Parkinson's. I have a relative with it that walks like that, except he gets to have a walker.
