So please explain then? I'd love to know why a stranger on the internet thinks that financially contributing to industrialized murder is funny. Please do elaborate.

It's objectively not an opinion, where the fuck do you think that money goes?
And sure, $20 here doesn't matter. When a million other people also invest $20 "as a gag" or more trying to make a profit, whoops, that's $20 million plus worth of death. They don't make anything else. Only death.
Websites that are glorified shopping carts with maybe three dynamic pages are maintained by teams of people around the clock, because the truth is everything is breaking all the time, everywhere, for everyone. Right now someone who works for Facebook is getting tens of thousands of error messages and frantically trying to find the problem before the whole charade collapses. There’s a team at a Google office that hasn’t slept in three days. Somewhere there’s a database programmer surrounded by empty Mountain Dew bottles whose husband thinks she’s dead. And if these people stop, the world burns. Most people don’t even know what sysadmins do, but trust me, if they all took a lunch break at the same time they wouldn’t make it to the deli before you ran out of bullets protecting your canned goods from roving bands of mutants.

For directly and unapologetically funding the death and destruction of human lives?
Yes. Yes you are.
I prefer modern toxic over 2008-era XBL lobbies though.
Maybe that's just me. But I get a lot less annoyed by a "GG ez" than I do by an 8-year-old shouting seven consecutive minutes of racial slurs into his mic at the top of his lungs.
I don't like his movies but I respect his hustle. He has enough money to approach an agent and tell them "I want to make this movie, I want to cast all my friends in it, and I want my character to walk away with a hot date at the end" and the agent just says okay.
They're pretty much all the same movie with different names on them. But it's pretty clear that everyone involved in those movies was just having a great time making them.

He sent his co-stars dead animals and condoms as "gifts"
This is news to me, but I hardly know everything there is to know about him.
Any specifics? I would like to know. I recommend his books frequently.
Note that this is Salt Lake City specifically, not Utah as a whole.
All the "undesirables" trapped in Utah - the gays, the atheists, the liberals, the homeless - overwhelmingly live in SLC. It's just about the last bastion of near-normalcy in the state.
Everyone else outside the city will still be getting their regular real humans on their 911 calls.
I can't say for certain that this is a targeted attack, but if it has all the same effects as a targeted attack, does it matter?

You don't see how cultural relevance has caused HBO to cut JK Rowling a check in order to make this show, which she then turns around and donates to anti-trans organizations?
Pirate or not, people watching and interacting with this stuff and talking about it with other people keeps it in the public consciousness. As long as it remains part of the zeitgeist then Rowling continues to profit from it.
It's quite easy to find other, better stories about wizards that don't directly fund bigotry. I recommend Dresden Files.

So you have no answer then, cool, thought so.
