Mods and admins making a lot of stupid unilateral decisions in a short notice.

We should return to a basic web forum.

There are some poll websites that are pretty damn good at keep people from voting more than once. Might be worth looking into.

Also we could just put a prerequisite for voting. Perhaps accounts need to be a month old?

I seriously believe that a little more direct input from the communist would go such a long way to regaining trust. Instead of these unilateral decisions we should have discussions and even votes on these things. The entire last struggle session could have been avoided had it been approached differently.

One of the primary reasons I started lurking, then posting on Hexbear a few years ago (this current alt is new) is that it was actually active. Baby communist me very well could have become active on a number of discords, raddle, or lemmygrad but chose to stay on Hexbear due to its high activity. It’s not boring here, you’re not seeing the same posts for weeks and weeks. We must keep posting comrades, don’t let the struggle session get in the way of that.

It absolutely is, there has been a strong decline in site activity since the struggle sesh. Hexbear was among the most active I’ve seen directly beforehand.

Yes some real change needs to be made. I think anyone who has the time and is concerned about the sites future should apply to be a mod (with the newest mod drive) to try and do a lib and change the system from within.

I fear this will lead to intense fragmentation as seen on other Lenny instances.
