Das ist oft schon Bestandteil des Pachtvertrages für die Immobilie. Ich finde diese Praxis auch kacke, aber wenn du gerne unbedingt einen Kiosk im Bahnhof Hintertupfingen eröffnen möchtest, hast du in vielen Fällen keine andere Wahl, als dieses Spiel mitzuspielen. Drei Straßen weiter ist dann halt kein Bahnhof mehr und die Laufkundschaft für einen Kiosk fehlt.

Ich kenne mich jetzt mit Schwimmbadimbissen und deren Unabhängigkeit nicht aus, weiß aber, dass Kioske und Zeitschriftenläden an Bahnhöfen in Deutschland so gut wie nie wirklich unabhängig sind.

Alleine die Valora betreibt in Deutschland fast 3000 Verkaufsstellen (k kiosk, avec, Press & Books, cigo, ServiceStore DB, BackWerk, Ditsch, Brezelkönig, Caffè Spettacolo, Frittenwerk und SuperGuud). Die einzelnen Stores müssen quasi alles über den Valora-Zentraleinkauf beziehen. Und eine Dose Red Bull kostet da gerne mal 2,50€. Mal eben bei Aldi kaufen, wenn es dort billiger ist, erlauben die Verträge nicht.

Wenn der Kioskbetreiber auch so einen Exklusivvertrag unterschrieben hat, von Servietten über Würste bis zur Sonnencreme, dann bleibt eben in der Tat nur die Wahl zwischen "die Pizza kaufen, die es gibt" oder "keine Pizza mehr kaufen".

Trump needs a certain level of support from the general public. If he sends the army in face of peaceful protestors, he sets that support at risk. But if the news show videos of protestors looting and setting random stuff on fire, the audience is much more likely to believe his narrative and support his actions.

When it comes to violence, I always try to take the perspective of my political opponents. I see myself as pretty left leaning but in a democracy I have to accept that there are also different opinions on how a society should work.

That does not mean that I see all right wing concepts and ideas as acceptable and if a conservative person wants to be respected by me, I expect them to also draw a line and distance themselves from the radical, far-right extremists. If a conservative person supports right wing violence, that's an absolute no go for me.

But likewise, if I want my opinion to be respected by moderate conservatives, I have to distance myself from protest forms I don't support. And if people randomly destroy foreign property that is not at all related to the protest, I just can't get behind that. If I then keep protesting along such people, but condemn others when they just look away or go away from far-right extremists, as recommended here for a left-leaning protest, that's double standards for me.

I don't know how to feel about that.

I think there definitely are forms of protest that objectively just hurt any movement. A few people looting stores, setting random stuff on fire and most forms of violence will make the whole crowd appear violent and scare off the general public. If you protest against Trump and then steal stuff from a local store, the vast majority will neither see that as related to Trump nor as an acceptable form of protest. Less people will protest and, more importantly, Trump can use the videos etc. to justify his behavior.

Ich hatte schon jahrelang Phasen ohne (zugesetzten) Zucker, generell kaum Kohlenhydraten und viel Sport und da war kein wirklicher Unterschied zu erkennen. Ich hab Phasen, da schlaf ich ganz gut, solche, in denen ich kaum einschlafen kann und solche, in denen das Einschlafen klappt und ich viel zu früh aufwache. Zucker und Sport haben darauf bei mir leider keinen wirklichen Einfluss. Bin auch schon nach 60 Kilometer Wanderung morgens um 3 wachgeworden und konnte trotz Müdigkeit nicht mehr einschlafen.

And if no radioactive material is set free, isn't it still available to keep producing nuclear weapons? According to a German article Iran is estimated to already have sufficient Uranium for 15 nuclear bombs.

In my simple mind that means you either have to directly destroy that material (and potentially expose millions of people to it) or if you just destroy the production facilities, you can only slow down the enrichment of further material without impacting the current capabilities. Do I oversee something?

If you bomb a facility that is working with radioactive material that can be used to produce a nuclear bomb, isn't there a pretty high risk of causing a meltdown? And if so isn't that pretty similar to Israel dropping a nuclear bomb on Iran themselves?

Kommt das nicht wieder stark auf die Rechtsform und den Unternehmenssitz an? Sind ja gar nicht alle Firmen bilanzierungs- oder publikationspflichtig. Und wenn die Beteiligungsgesellschaft auf den Caymans sitzt (oder die deutsche Firma Anteile an einer zweiten Beteiligungsgesellschaft auf den Caymans hält), laufen unsere Gesetze auch wieder ins Leere.

Aber unabhängig von diesen Details wäre ich relativ sicher, dass dort, wo Beteiligungen verschleiert werden sollen, das auch gelingen wird. Die Steuerberater werden sich da leider schon was intransparentes und subtiles einfallen lassen, notfalls eben auch über Strohmänner aus dem persönlichen Umfeld.
