Yesterday I was thinking about this, it is like authorities don't give a fuck about piracy until someone local complains about it. Years ago it was about the music but it turns out is wasn't the musicians who were complaining, it was the society in charge of collecting and distributing the money between the copyright holders (sgae), those were corrupt as fuck and after a couple scandals I haven't heard about them much.

It's like reddit but spread out.

If reddit is one big city, lemmy is dozens of small towns with a good network of public transport between them.

The west likes expensive toys, Asia likes stuff that just works. Look at the picture, that thing looks like it was improvised in an afternoon and repaired twice a month for the last ten years.

Tech billionaires trying to make it profitable by scamming schools. I bet they'll want to charge many times the salary of the teachers they want to replace.
