It's not a 'gotcha' it's literally what has happened and we should be allowed to point it out without being shouted down. That's my whole point. The News megathread should be a place where criticism is allowed.

I said this a fucking week ago and all of you shouted at me for it.

Sorry but why does anyone care what celebrity singers think anyway? Celebrities are tools crafted to keep Americans docile and sell magazines. Like did people really think Taylor Swift would openly support Palestine? Please, for the love of god, never give any money to celebrities.

Awoo is, as always, the best poster on Hexbear. That said, I think the rate limiting might be a sign to take a break from your hard work! Thank you, comrade.

I KNOW THE ANSWER TO THIS!!!

E-cigarettes are regulated by the Chinese government and fall under the state tobacco monopoly. They are legal to manufacture in any flavour but only legal to sell in China in traditional cigarette flavours, i.e. tobacco and menthol. Any flavour can be exported out of China, which is why the US is full of fruit flavored vapes from China despite none of them being authorized for sale in the US by the FDA. That fruit flavoured vapes are not for sale in China is not ideal since flavours are associated with more switching away from cigarettes (harm reduction) than are tobacco/menthol vapes (yes, vaping is much less harmful than smoking, the chemistry and toxicology data are very clear about this) but this system is still better than in the US where every single product has to be arbitrarily reviewed individually and they've only approved ONE menthol vape (insanity). In China the manufacturer just notifies the state monopoly of the product and its technical specifications and as long as they meet the clearly-defined state requirements it can be sold. The US has no clear requirements which means their 'reviews' are lengthy and capricious.

I know of a few academic journals that review and publish articles on Marxism and Socialism but all of them seem to be run by Trots and are extremely hostile to Marxism-Leninism, Stalinism, and AES countries like China, Viet Nam, and (formerly) the Soviet Union. Are there any academic journals that are pro-Lenin/Soviet and pro-AES? I would like to read such articles and possibly contribute myself. Obviously there are sites like this one but I'm looking specifically for a scholarly journal, e.g. with peer-review or at least something more formal than a forum.

Thanks in advance.

The Barbies pokemon-go to the polls and vote out the Kens. It's mind-numbingly stupid. Remember how that strategy went in 2016? It doesn't deserve the awards.

I'm looking for serious replies only, please. I have a friend whose family 'escaped' from East Germany and moved to the US during the Cold War. My friend's opposition to socialism seems to be almost exclusively based upon this idea that their poor family had to 'run from evil communists'. This person either doesn't know or won't tell me what their family was up to in Germany from 1930-1945. I suspect they were nazis and were not 'escaping' socialism but hiding their participation in war crimes by moving to a country that would not persecute them for killing civilians etc. I know their grandfather's name (who was just a boy when his parents forcibly moved them all to the US). How would I go about proving my hypothesis that they were nazis? Are their databases with the names of nazi party members and so on? Any advice and guidance would be much appreciated. Thanks.

"We've assessed how far Ukrainian forces have really progressed... The area to the south-east of the city of Zaporizhzhia is by far the most strategically important... There hasn't been much progress on this front... We have verified nine social media videos along the frontline near Verbove... However, these show incursions, not that Ukraine has managed to take control of the area. So far it has only been Ukrainian infantry getting through, and we're not seeing Ukrainian armoured columns pouring through, exploiting the gap and holding the ground taken... Ukraine's first attempt to charge through [Russian defences] in June quickly ended in failure, with its modern, Western-supplied armour crippled and burning. Ukrainian infantry came similarly unstuck, taking horrific casualties... for Kyiv, the clock is ticking. The rainy season will arrive within weeks, turning the roads to mud and hindering further advances. Beyond that lies the uncertainty of the US presidential elections, where a Republican victory could see US military support for Ukraine dramatically slashed."

To the Liberals reading this for the first time, this is from Lenin's book 'The State and Revolution'. I recommend reading it. It's enlightening and rewarding, and helps make sense of the current political climate.
