Couldn't it just be that in those states, straight people watch a lot less porn so the gay people living there just make up a bigger percentage of porn being watched?

If you wish you were a girl, I've got some exciting news for you

Also what these articles always fail to consider: Usually protests become violent when peaceful protests have failed. So violent protests often face something that is much harder to change/politicians are more unwilling to change. So of course they are less often successful. Not because they are less effective, but because the nature of their demands is different.

Yeah no, the sling was considered a very very deadly weapon back then. That's the thing. And that's not what bible school would want to portray. But the sling as a weapon was pretty much the Magnum Revolver of those days.

I don't know about ancient duel rules to say whether bringing a sling was permitted. The take is more along the lines of "David wasn't an underdog. If anything, David was the clear favourite to win because of his weapon". Because a sling at the time was a highly effective and deadly weapon which was still regularly used for centuries after the supposed events of that biblical story because of its effectiveness.

We could meet in the middle and call it electromagnetic pull?

What I mean is like for example, a person having "gravitational pull" or someone making a "quantum leap" makes no sense to anyone who knows about physics. Gravity is extremely weak and quantum leaps are tiny.

Or "David versus Goliath" to describe a huge underdoge makes no sense to anyone who knows about history, because nobody bringing a gun to a sword fight is going to be the underdog but that's essentially what David did.

I'm looking for more examples like that.

Oh, he has gravitational pull? So he's pretty much irrelevant to everyone around him unless he grows to cosmic proportions?

Not a cartoon, but number 1 most unhinged kids' show has to be Boohbah. Everyone involved in the making of this show has to have been on drugs constantly, that's the only explanation I can think of for why this show exists.

No, because what you are doing isn't x^2 with x=-5. It is -x^2 with x=5.

There's a lot of musicians who are huge in Europe, but not in the US. Robbie Williams, Anastacia, most of Eurodance,... What musicians are the other way round?

I know that it has significant meaning to me but I struggle putting it into words to explain it to other people (especially other dya cis people). So like a few years ago I was thinking about if I may be trans femme. I have since realised that no, actually I was just struggling with it for a while because I don't relate to the gender roles and expectations society puts on men. I now identify more strongly with being a man than ever before, and I love being a man in a gender-way. I just absolutely hate being a man in a "what role men have in society"-way.
