With a couple of small changes, Send the Marines can be updated for 2025 standards.

What with President TACO practicing escalato on the Los Angeles
And then the ICE-est Crisis on top of that
It has been a nervous year
And people have begun to feel like a Christian Scientist with appendicitis

Fortunately, in times of crisis like this
America always has its number one instrument of diplomacy to fall back on
Here's a song about it

When someone makes a move
Of which we don't approve
Who is it that always intervenes?
U.N. and O.A.S
They have their place, I guess
But first - send the Marines

We'll send them all we've got
John Wayne and Randolph Scott
Remember those exciting fighting scenes?
~~To the shores of Tripoli~~
~~But not to Mississippoli~~
What do we do? We send the Marines!

For might makes right
And till they've seen the light
They've got to be protected
All their rights respected
So somebody we dislike can stay elected

Members of the corps
All hate the thought of war
They'd rather kill them off by peaceful means
Stop calling it aggression

Ooh, we hate that expression!
We only want the world to know
That we support the status quo
They love us everywhere we go
So when in doubt
Send the Marines!

Fire doesn't discriminate, but ICE totally does!

The good old dehu-Manosphere. Malignant, cancerous trash run by grifters and signal boosted by insecure mysognists.

Edit: I see we have some fans of Joe Rogaine, Jordan Small-Peterson, and or Andrew T-hate on here.

Preventing admission of anyone who undermines the domestic tranquility of the United States.

Any reasonable interpretation of this means that he just gave the order to keep himself from returning.

>misses the joke
>complains about other people
>gets downvotes

It would have been easier to just say:

"That's coming with the update that adds Call of Duty and Fortnite into the game."

This means either them or more junior developers will be brought in as glorified prompt engineers.

Oh, sweet summer child. It's not going to be junior developers; they still have self-worth. An un(der)paid intern or outsourced contractors, however? They're fine working for scraps and no health insurance.

Awh, someone's upset that his little Kings Parade was outshined by No Kings protests and throwing a tantrum.

Shedd, whose professional career was largely spent as a software integration engineering manager at Tesla before being tapped to head the TTS, came to the government with AI top of mind. He reportedly wants GSA to operate like a software startup

Last I checked, startup culture involved burning money to market and sell a "revolutionary" idea, with the end goal being to get purchased by a bigger player in the industry and walking away with a wad of cash.

It kind of puts 2025 into perspective if you look at it that way.

the Christian Right just doesn’t understand the religious text they claim to follow.

A less generous interpretation is that they do but don't care about the parts they disagree with. There's a lot of cherry picking going on with them, and that totally tracks with being the world's #4 exporter of cherries.

MAGA don't have goalposts. They have sticks with little flags that they move around whenever the locations aren't convenient enough.

Is there a source on that? 8647 is the same number he was pissy about when Comey spelled it with beach rocks. For that reason, it's pretty hard to believe that's the actual number and not a shitpost that went viral taken at face value.

It's a small comfort that even Twitter is giving this take the reception it deserves.

It's kind of wholesome. People coming together to tell the guy who built a child-exploiting, underaged-gambling "game" for kids to get fucked brings a tear to my eye.

Founding Roblox isn’t exactly building the interstate highway system, creating antibiotics, or inventing the telephone, John.

And look where it's gotten us. Drunk on arrogance and the suffering of millions

You made Roblox in order to monetize children's naivety. We're not giving you the nuclear codes for shit

Because you're a bunch of sociopaths with a Messiah complex

You build a giant ad platform and called it innovation. You're modern day carnival barkers. Go fuck yourself

Whether Windows or Linux, remember what we all have in common: plenty of infighting over distributions.

Edit: Does nobody understand the post title is a joke?

Modlog, which includes a site ban—something only admins can do.

The community bans also include communities that aren't moderated by any instance admins, and some that are only moderated by a single person who likely isn't aware of actions taken under their community's name.

>Focuses on optimization which only helps in specific workloads like synthetic benchmarks
>Markets technology like its a solution to world hunger
>It's actually worse than before

The solution is to deprecate the slower one, right?
...
Right?

It's almost as if the real money is where the customers are at, and not in little Timmy's wallet.

Once one company gets away with it, the rest follow.

The Citra website has been replaced with the same statement made on the Yuzu website, and the GitHub repository is now gone as well.

Other build dependency repos taken down with it:

This also includes ceasing development and destroying their copies of the code.

The GitHub repo page for Yuzu now returns a 404, as well. The website is still up, though.

An ad that showed up as I was browsing through the news. Bloody ridiculous...

You may know it as Space Melody by Luna Park or as ResuRection by ППК (English: PPK), but the original melody was composed by Eduard Artemyev for the 1979 Soviet film Siberiade. The original name of the song, as titled in the movie's soundtrack release, is la mort du héroes (the death of heroes, if my French is correct).

Here's a link to the original composition, if you're curious.
