I choose to believe the Brits are dumber, but honesty, it’s probably pretty evenly matched…

The scalpers are also the rich assholes tho, buying up as much stock as they can takes capital.

At the end of the day, the issues runs much deeper than which individual we can blame. The issue, like everything else is systemic. Some of it is the conditions that create scalpers, and as you say, a lot of it is the consumerism that brings people to spend the exorbitant amount of money on treats.

The use of rubber bullets makes them even more eager to shoot people. They are told that it’s non-lethal, so that means these fucking oinkers take their liberties with regards to unloading point blank at bystanders.

It’s New Jersey poutine.

Main difference is disco fries don’t use cheese curds, it’s just regular low moisture mozzarella.

100%

As long as he goes on an anti-Trump tour with Bernie and AOC, the dem constituents will fall head over heels in love with the new Resistance Musk character.

Edit: head of heals in love AGAIN.

Not that there were a lot of people still masking anyways, but there was one person who sits next to me that was still masking until today. He just walked in bare faced and it really made my stomach sink…

Edit: came in this week and they have their mask back on… not sure why they took it off on last week, but happy to see it back on.

In response to my partner and I still not going to indoor restaurants, one of our parents said that they have seen people claiming the vaccines are the cause of the various premature deaths of otherwise healthy people. I was trying to explain that we still have concerns over long covid and the possible part it played in our auto-immune disorders ramping up. I used an example of one of our family friends dying abruptly of heart failure without any sort of sign or warning, that was met with “well I’m seeing a lot of people might think it’s actually the vaccines…. I’m done… I really am. I can’t do this shit anymore, I’m so fucking tired of defending my decisions against people who can’t fathom a life without their very specific treats and vibes. Reataurants fucking suck anyway, anything in public is probably a dogshit experience, I can’t wait to move to the woods away from all these fucks.

The pivot to video. I yearn for written tech guides or automotive process with well written instructions and detailed pictures. The fact that so much of the info once found in text is now pivoting to some chucklefuck holding his iPhone in one hand while trying to show you how to do a two handed job is extremely aggravating. Don’t even get me started on the need to sift through a 25 minute long tech video because you need to find that one step that you missed.

Video is so fucking low effort and annoying.

Dudes definitely a grindset mindset crypto type, but I can’t help but respect this grift a little bit.

Bergwall’s alleged refunding operation was fairly sophisticated. When his indictment was unsealed on November 9, it revealed he’d allegedly facilitated nearly 10,000 fraudulent returns between December 2021 and April 2022, which “resulted in more than $3.5 million in lost product and sales revenue to victim-retailers.? (More recent court filings list the total value at $5 million.) The indictment also alleged that Bergwall got high on his own supply, so to speak: He refunded a number of products for himself, including a “$41,000 Rolex President Day-Date watch, a $600 TeamGee H20 Electric Skateboard, a $350 Samsung 43-inch Smart UHD TV, and an $80 pair of Reebok shoes.? His alleged operation, called UPSNow, was run, like most refunding operations, on Telegram, where he went by the pseudonym MXB and worked alongside a number of unindicted co-conspirators. He specialized in FTID with a powerful edge: The government claims that Bergwall hacked into five employees’ back-end accounts at “a multinational shipping, receiving, and supply chain management company? confirmed by sources to be UPS.

Was talking to a friend of mine about the use of nukes and I was told about how it was the quicker way to save more lives. I’ve always heard this argument but still always believed that it was an extreme response that could have been avoided.

Am I naive in my thoughts here? What is everyone else’s interpretation of the events leading up to and the decision made to drop both bombs?

I just need to vent a little bit and get some feedback from people outside of my friends and family. They love me unconditionally and I know they are never unwilling to listen, but I feel like a broken record lately and really can't find the motivation or make it better. I've really been feeling like an insufferable burden because of my pessimism and cynicism around this topic, so I figure why not unload it on some internet strangers and see what insight I can get from some like-minded people.

I work in big corpo and really really hate it on multiple levels. Everyone around me seems to either be blissfully ignorant or they have found a way to swallow their pride and just exist. I am having a lot of trouble doing that and it makes me feel like an unappreciative shithead. I'm in a good position, in a stable company with a lot of great perks and benefits, but I'm just not happy. I hate the industry, the culture, the work itself, but the people around me have been there for 10+ years, so there must be something I'm missing. Am I wrong for not being able to suck it up and cash my check?

Really miss the days of men in power having big balls.

Was talking to a friend about wearing masks and they made the point that they “wish it would have become the norm instead of a side of a political battle.”

Making it political is just trying to explain away indifference to the moral and ethical implications of giving up.

It wasn’t liberal vs conservative, liberals were just as eager to go mask off as soon as possible regardless of the actual situation.
