Oh shit. I thought it was a community until now!

Not as much as I should to be honest. I may have enjoyed a few drams this week while looking out at the view though. Thankfully we have a lovely conservatory that looks out at Dunnet Head. Might have a venture out soon it should be glorious this weekend!
Mostly unpacked now from moving to Caithness. It's been a long week of fixing things the previous owners left broken. Still loads more, but I'm planning on spending the weekend being a hermit and playing video games like it's my job. Sure not exciting, but I'd like to forget about the £1200 I spent on a plumber this week.
On the plus side the weather has been stunning!
Ah nice! It's been quite a big change for us. It's our first house, so still wrapping my head around that AND trying to figure out how things work and what to do around these parts. I'm out near Mey, it's truly a beautiful part of the world though, and so far the people we've met have been lovely. It'll be interesting to see how it is over the coming months in tourist season though!
Not yet, but I've seen it around. It looks bloody lovely! The true problem here is finding a driver. Maybe it's worth splashing out on a taxi so I can have a drink!
EDIT: Stupid autocorrect
Moved to Caithness recently. It's our first house, so it feels like my life is DIY these days. At least we've had some lovely weather though!
Good to see! I just moved up to Caithness from Yorkshire and it's been incredible seeing so many windfarms. I've been disparing at the number of locals that are adamantly against the building grid battery farms in the area. Seeing your post made me feel a bit better.
I was just a little north of there yesterday. It was indeed lovely!
Sadly it's WAY worse than that. You want to invest for retirement, have any sort of savings, benefit from tax breaks for things like being a first time buyer, and many other things, you can be taxed.
I've been really surprised how controversial this is. There are a couple that are due to be built up here in Caithness and so many people are outraged. I despair for the future.
