There are some hair dyes that are better for grey hairs, because they can pick up colour differently and turn a bright or unexpected colour

I forget what they are though or how it works

Some purple toner or shampoo might help? Also if it was bleached it might need another go to get the stubborn red tones

Urgh. I was really sick last night. Stupid stomach.

Melbcat seems a tiny bit uncomfortable again. Right as I was calling the vet to say she was feeling a bit better, but asking about the ibd flare possibility and dealing with it if this continues/comes back. They’re so sick of me calling them though. I agreed to monitor and gave her something to help.

Edit: Ok she started crying again. Vet time!

Ps. I post a lot about Melbcat being sick, but overwhelmingly she’s happy and in good condition. Her chronic stuff is being managed, she just has a lot of annoying acute issues and I do fuss.

It just hit me. Melbcat has IBD. So maybe she’s having a flare.

This could explain the increased appetite, being sick, the accidents, the crying… She seems a lot better now but I’m going to get right back on the vets in the morning and ask. There is something that can be done about that.

Melbcat ‘monkey tails’ me and people she likes by wrapping it around us, it’s her version of a hug.

I know when she’s sick because along with the other body language she sometimes ‘hugs’ herself with her tail to self soothe.

Omg. It looks like you’re getting a tail hug. (Cats wrapping their tail around someone is a sign of affection)

Quiche Lorraine is good for this. You can make an easy one with premade pastry and skip the blind baking (I also used to just use dried chives)

Melbcat seems okay. I’m waiting to see if the latest issue resolves but she’s got a good appetite, is washing herself, and got up to curiously follow a visitor around. She doesn’t seem to be uncomfortable or have pain.

She keeps giving me the biggest fright 😅

Furbaby had a cuddle, napped, then has been woken for dinner and meds. I hope she’s feeling a bit better.

spoilerI’m dropping the Osmolax down and starting to give her probiotics in the hope that helps her tummy. Maybe even try a little psyllium husk instead.

Also I’m glad you guys are around. You’re good people.

There’s not much to be done over Winter so I’m deciding what my plans are for Spring.

Are you planning or prepping anything? Improving the soil over winter?

In the mid-month of winter, cold are our feet. Buy you some slippers? Drink a hot treat?

Edit: EOFY sales are also on. I’m deciding if there’s anything I genuinely could use and putting it in the basket to think about.

This grant is a great step, kitten season is coming

Yes Coles are price gougers and part of a duopoly so I hate recommending them.

But if the drop off part of things is a challenge at least there’s the option to use this.

Seems Yarrabyte has got on the beers?

Winter is coming, bills will be high. Do you have tips to help us get by?

Winter is coming. Any plans?

An advocacy service over the phone for people living with opioid dependence.

Things are really bad in my area and Victoria is the only Australian state that still charges for methadone. There’s not much I can do individually but share resources and hope it helps someone.
