watching old vanderpump

smh can't believe they pitted the two trans girls (Billie and Lala) against each other

Cutthroat developers are intent on building a chemical plant in an Irish town, and they'll use any means necessary to silence their opponents. In need of more help than the law can provide, the town's citizens turn to Mark Taffin (Pierce Brosnan), a debt collector and martial-arts expert who's accustomed to getting his way. As Taffin battles against corporate goons and hired thugs, it's clear he's a force to be reckoned with. But is one man enough to win the battle?

Luritja artist Keanu Nelson traces the afterglow of Wilurarrakutu with a two-track 7”, cut from the same home-studio haze with producer Yuta Matsumura. The pair continue their singular weave of community-rooted storytelling and elemental electronics, shaped with the gear at hand.

Hints of YouTube hip-hop and emotionally charged piano ripple through ‘Place Where I Go’, a dubbed-out reflection on the daily realities of life in Papunya, Nelson’s desert home. ‘Kapi Ngalyananni’ finds Nelson singing in language, a mesmeric water song bridging the personal and ancestral, with elevating chords, clapsticks, and Matsumura’s parched melodica lines.

Out on vinyl/digital April 25, these remote dispatches carry a vital new voice from the heart of the desert, where tradition and sonic experimentation delicately converge.

We are joined by yet another TMK favorite, Quinn Slobodian, who is author of Hayek's Bastards: Race, Gold, IQ, and the Capitalism of the Far Right. We discuss Quinn’s analysis of “new fusionism” or a mutant strain of neoliberalism that crystallized in the 1990s, which sought to ground and defend neoliberal policies through their own bastardization of biological sciences — cognitive, behavioral, evolutionary, genetic, and so on. They then used scientism to justify and propagate political ideas and economic models based on hardwired human nature and hierarchical differences between races, cultures, and intelligence. The fringes of the 1990s have now become the mainstream of the 2020s.

We’re setting the table for the year ahead in Ghost Stories, and to do so we’ll be following a number of threads that may or may not have much to do with each other. Key to this one is the UK’s relationship with the US, which we use to explore how unnerving it feels to be alive in the Hermit Kingdom in the last days, its mind blown out by redundant upper management and a deep state that no longer has any purpose. We mainline the DMT released from the dying spider’s brain, exploring Keir Starmer as the Last Man, dreams in the imperial core, surveillance, terrorism, the dregs of empire, classified US-UK programs like GHOSTHUNTER and APPARITION, temporal dislocation, and long-dead spree killers haunting the Yorkshire moors.
