I agree with you.. It passes people off because their entire life is dependent on fossil fuels. When its been encouraged by society/government for decades and now people have to drive miles to get to the nearest grocery store/point of interest they don't have an alternative that isn't uprooting their whole lives.
If you are going tax gas what it should be taxed, you also need to simultaneously make changes that will help people transition to sustainable alternatives. An amount of people will resist no matter what but you need a carrot to go along with the stick.

Since you have an electric fan I'm hoping you have electricity. If you can get ahold of some ice or cold items you can use it to cool major blood vessels and the cooled blood travels through your body. Like a radiator. A few weeks ago I was eating hot food outside in the hot humid heat (Florida) and squeezing a plastic cup of ice water between my wrists at the table was a huge relief.

The only plausible situation I can see is that he or one of his employees was purchasing consumables used as part of the repair business using the affiliate accounts. More likely is that at some point in the past 7 years someone Amazon associates with his account made a purchase using an affiliate link and they used that as the excuse.

You should give kbin.social a shot. It works better than lemmy currently. I made an account on lemmy.world and kbin.social and end up spending my time on kbin. Even on mobile with no app, I find the user experience better. I am sure it will get better for all instances with time.
I don't have any NSFW filtering enabled but I almost never get see any NSFW posts. Today was the first time I ever saw one (it was some footage from Ukraine), I have seen lots of complaints about this issue and was wondering if the NSFW filters were inverted.
