No one ever asked me "Oh, are you using linux?" Even if they see that your Desktop Environment is different from what they're used to on Windows, they usually don't notice it's anything else than Windows.

Damn these guys are very passionate about how shitty thunderbird is

You should probably go for Linux Mint. I love the Gnome Desktop environment, but you'd need to install it afterwards. Probably go for the XFCE version of Linux mint.

My experience as a junior software developer in Germany right now

Yea I get that. For me it was a way of keeping the game fresh, though many of the changes added more micromanagement, which made the game harder.

What did I miss?

Most of the DLCs are easy cash-grabs with not much value. The base-game is regularly being modified, sometimes improved, sometimes not. They still have performance issues in late game, Multiplayer sync issues and no ability to change keybindings. Some major quality of life features are lacking for me. I love the game, I've been playing since release, but I wish they'd put less effort into releasing overpriced DLCs and put more effort in improving the game. I also dislike their DLC subscription model.

So the joke is she's ugly and therefore shouldn't be successful in the adult industry?

I had a similar issue a few years back and I fixed it by entering TTY2 by pressing Ctrl+Alt+F2 and figuring out what broke via the terminal. My issue was that xorg couldn't start because some dependencies broke after installing an update.

[SOLVED] Go to Gnome Settings > Multitasking > Disable Hot Corners

I'm on NixOS 24.05 and I'm using GNOME 46.2 (Wayland) and whenever I hover over the upper left corner of my screen all apps are showing as if I clicked the "Show Apps" button. Is there any way to turn it off? It's driving me insane. Since I'm working with multiple monitors, it's happening quite frequently. Thanks in advance.

tl;dr: Security concerns for my Linux partition, when running Vanguard on Windows?

Now that Vanguard is out, I can't play LoL on Linux anymore. I'm running a dual boot setup with windows and I'm using it only for stuff I can't get to work on Linux, so there is no personal data on there.

  • Are there any security risks for my Linux partition, if Vanguard is installed and running on my Linux partition?
  • Could Vanguard potentially access my ext4 Linux file system via Windows?
  • If my NAS is mounted on Windows, could that also be a security concern?

I'm grateful for any kind of feedback, since I'm not very informed in terms of rootkits and kernels!

I have a Lily58, but I would love having two thumb buttons and overall 2-4 buttons more. The Sofle V2 seems like a really good choice, but I have no use for the rotaries. Is there a way to replace the rotaries with normal switches or are there other spilt keyboards similar to the Sofle V2, but without rotary encoders?

Thanks for any suggestions!

Hi, I've been searching for a Japanese-made Chinese cleaver for a pretty long time and I think I finally found what I'm looking for. I'd really appreciate your thoughts on this, since it's a pretty hefty investment. Link

Thanks in advance!

Hi, I can't connect to my TrueNAS scale server anymore, not even through the webGUI due to me being stupid. It seems like I need to do a full reinstall and I'm very paranoid about losing data. What do I need to do so I can reinstall truenas without using data? Do I need to export my pools? I don't want to save my config, since it seems to be totally broken. Thanks in advance.

TL;DR Are the Vivobarefoot Scott IV Mens Zero-Drop?

Hi, I'm thinking about buying the Vivobarefoot Scott IV Mens, but on their website under the heading 'geo outsole' it says the following:

[...] this outsole raises up towards the heel to hold feet firmly in place.

This sounds like those shoes aren't zero drop which would be a dealbreaker for me. Does anyone have experience with this model or similar shoes by Vivobarefoot?

Also, if anyone can recommend other warm barefoot winter shoes, feel free to let me know. :)

Thanks in advance!
