I'm conflicted on this. Back in the day, I would normally say: building your own computer was the bar (which includes the OS to me).

Times have changed and all of a sudden (or so it feels) it seems that navigating UIs seems to be making people tech savvy? Quite a lot of kids can navigate things faster than I can, but don't really get what an OS is at all. That makes sense because iPads, Android Phones, Macs and most machines don't require any building or OS installation.

As The Guardian reports, vegan diets result in 75% less climate-heating emissions than meat-rich ones. Avoiding meat and dairy has been identified as the “single biggest way” to reduce your impact on Earth.

I remember an old QI episode where Stephen Fry asked how a family could reduce their carbon footprint. Panelists said to get rid of the car. The answer was to get rid of the dog because of the meat it ate. I was like, isn't the best solution recommending the entire family to go vegan?

I think a lot of it is cultural a bit? I've seen interviews and these are Republican voters for like years and years and would never consider voting otherwise.

I heard Theo talking about this and I think he guessed that they don't want to maintain these against forks is the number of people raising issues that are not related to the extension and more due to the fork.

His video goes into a lot of good detail as to what's likely going on.

What Theo also says is that remember that they don't make any money off of VSCode at all.

Yeah there's something to that. Like I feel as though we should always be doing stuff but not what it is that we're currently doing?

Like, we should be waking up and having tea with our neighbors or helping out in our communities and stuff .. perhaps just building, planting, fixing things that we'd like? I don't feel as though we should be fighting deadlines constantly.

One of them told me that they learned that the price you pay a hospital is paid by insurance and that the price you actually pay is a lot lower. So they're not bothered. Like, seriously.

lol, it's not just the quote that gets me with the "headache with pictures" ... it's Leela saying something like, "you mean an idea?"

and then Fry with the weird nod reply

Wait Christini Ricci is in this? She was like one of my childhood crushes. Definitely gonna check it out.

I think I avoided it earlier because I didn't know what to expect from the movie. It was the Wachowskis and I was like, I don't want to ruin the Matrix pedestal I put them on. I think my friend said to me, "dude it's just speedracer, you shouldn't be having that high of expectations".

When I think about my past actions? You mean like the hundreds of times every day? Yeah ... 😭

I always think back to this one:

Leela: "that guy's turning this place into some sort of 'business'"

Professor: "this isn't a business, I've always thought of it more as a source of cheap labor ... like a family"

I don't know why I like it so much. I could see the punchline coming but how the exchange got there makes me smile every time.

I didn't know I had this many walking amongst me. Of the ones I've spoken with they seem to share these values:

They seem to hate that Ontario is forcing "gays" on kids at such a young age. I'm assuming my friend meant teaching about accepting people from different backgrounds, as I don't think sex education applied to the age range he was referring.

They think they're being taxed too highly (that's fine).

They think US Healthcare woes are exaggerated. One said that you don't really pay that fee, it's a different fee and it's not that much. Another said: I don't go to the hospital that often.

They think life will be better in the States with all the untaxed dollars they'll have.

(I will reiterate that these are just the ones that I've spoken with) I'm just wondering why they don't just move there. If you hate being Canadian so much start the process of emigration ...

His inability to answer the questions is infuriating.
