๐Ÿ˜‚ as soon as I see any pop up on an article i'm reading I smash the reader view button... for other sites I have an addon to reload the page without JS

Yep - only if you have a tuner though, recording does not work on their built-in IPTV service

Check out Pine64, however they only develop Arm and RISC-V devices, not x86.

The BBC has approached X for comment several times but was rebuffed with, among other things, a smiling poo emoji.

I like that reporters are leaving this fact in.

Imagine having some sensitive content of yours exposed on Twitter, you ask to get it removed... and get a poo emoji as a response ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Would be better to ask users on those sites directly, since we're only familiar with Lemmy here lol

Try Nitter/Squawker? I rarely visit the big sites directly anymore. Quite a few OSS web and mobile clients available

For Reddit there is Stealth which scrapes old.reddit, since reddit canned thirdparty apps

Real train is much more comfortable ๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿ˜

Thanks for the direct link

The default browser at my work is Firefox lol, only our testing team and a few others use Chrome. It's a pretty welcome change ๐Ÿ‘

I find it a little funny when we get Chrome-specific bug reports though

The Grayjay app supports these sites already (Android only)

Been using these apps for years, when YT does their crap the community gets it fixed and rolled out within a few days (worst has been two weeks).

Lots of thankless devs and contributors dedicated to preventing YouTube from screwing us over!

2โ‚ฌ/$ a month for an ad-free subscription and 3โ‚ฌ/$ a month for higher video quality+no ads subscription

sponsorblock

This is basically Nebula lol, minus the video quality tiering
