Solution
To fix this issue set the language in the language selector to the language your post is written in.
I tried setting the language to English and now it works. The weird thing is that I can create a post without specifying a language, but I cannot edit one.
I think it's cloud backups.
In the GitHub commit it's called Renew your Signal Backups subscription.
Though the same I like my conversations disappear when I need to reinstall Signal.
