While that doesn’t surprise me, I don’t think I’ve heard/seen/read about “ICE” getting guns drawn on by people they try to kidnap.

I carry, with a permit, and I regularly practice & train. I don’t wake up bloodthirsty but if masked dudes approach me and I don’t see badges/names/police ID, you bet I’m drawing on them, and if they attempt to lay hands on me I’m firing. I will most likely be persecuted and found guilty but I’ll at least say I did something on record against the gestapo and maybe set a precedent?

For Texas at least, under penal code 9.31(a)(1-3) it’s presumed to be reasonable self defense to use force (it specifically does not mention what kind of force, but it is assumed that deadly force is included, I think) against a person who “was committing or attempting to commit aggravated kidnapping, murder, sexual assault, aggravated sexual assault, robbery, or aggravated robbery.”

It may not, but imo you do what you have to do to protect yourself against aggravated kidnapping, and then hope you/your lawyer can articulate how/why you did what you did later in court.

I believe the appropriate response from the other members of G7 would be to collectively tell trump to “fuck off.”

Ya, we have the right of free speech, but hate-filled and verifiably false speech/statements should be punished or at least labeled with mandatory warnings that indicate them as such.
