here's hoping we invent the ansible (and that whatever physics voodoo required to run it isn't so expensive that it remains inaccessible to the general public)

it would be cosmically funny if we end up with FTL physical transport before FTL information transport, and thus a gigantic interstellar sneakernet industry.

*slaps roof of warp-capable starliner* this bad boy can fit so many fuckin exobyte flash drives in it

This caused me to cry-laugh and share with all my math nerd friends who know topology. (I'm sure they will be 100% fine with this.)

I'd be on board! ☕

Cultured food replacement news makes me SO EXCITED. I've had food poisoning so many times that there are certain things I'm just too scared to eat now. Having worked with cell cultures I know how ridiculously sterile things have to be for the cells to grow effectively, so I could eat these types of foods with way higher confidence they wouldn't make me sick.

Fingers crossed for near future consumer availability...

Chili lime flavor made with True Citrus lime powder + regular chili powder

Bonus: grind in a mortar & pestle to get a much finer powder that sticks to the popcorn better

Agreed, that's the good stuff

I grind the yeast flakes and salt in my mortar & pestle to get a fine powder that sticks much more easily

I remember seeing the early trailers for this and being thoroughly hyped. "This looks like Goat Simulator with unique gun physics platforming. Sign me up," I thought

This new trailer though, holy shit. We're on the next plane of reality now. Look at those GORGEOUS spectral highlights paired with flawlessly awkward Simulator Genre Human models & animations. This is high art
