Seriously, I feel like the root cause of the problem is that people these days are so alienated in society that they have grown too afraid to socialize. Complaints like “no, I don’t want to talk to people who I imagine might say reactionary things that I don’t like!” are just excuses to stop oneself from interacting with real people in the real world.

Not gonna lie I see some posts on this site that outright describe people in their community with the same vitriolic hatred that Timothy McVeigh describes brown people. Sure I bet there are alot of areas with right wingers, but I'm sorry but if everyone around you is a literal demon then have you ever thought about the fact that the common factor in all of your interactions with these people is you?

The emotional core of fascism is a deep misanthropy and I've seen so many young people who grew up with some socialization issues and a deepset hatred of other people latch onto communist politics and then become some sort of fascist or right-winger later in life. I don't care about how epic you think your Maoism-Third Worldism is, I've seen enough of those people become Nazis or Haziods that I can clearly see a pattern in that sort of psychological framework to be incredibly sus of that sort of sentiment.

Instead of taking Vitamin D pills when no sunlight is available in the appropriate wavelength, you may want to consider eating more culinary mushrooms as a better method of obtaining Vitamin D during the winter: mushrooms are full of fascinating compounds, are strongly cytoprotective, and have beneficial effects on mood and cognition. Compounds such as ergothioneine, a (currently little-known) super-antioxidant specific to fungi that accumulates in tissue, especially the brain, vital organs, and bone marrow, and is so important for health that humans have evolved a specific "ergothioneine transporter" in the gut in order to better absorb the molecule; see also the chitin monomer n-acetyl-glucosamine, which appears to be extremely important, or perhaps even rate-limiting, for myelination and re-myelination of axons... these are but a few among thousands of beneficial compounds in a serving of mushrooms, amounts depending upon the species.

I know people don't like it when I bring this up but be careful with lions mane. Please don't take it with anti-depressants because it can cause serotonin syndrome and you should likely avoid cooking with it since there is no way of knowing the dose you will end up getting (usually in a culinary setting it's under-extracted, but you only need to fuck up once to rot your brain).

Could be wrong here but Vitmin B complex also helps. It helps metabolize carbs which makes it good for western style diets (or lets be real, all modern idets except for a few areas) and also contains l-thamine which is supposed to be really good for stress

I tried a rolled up blanket and it wasn't stable enough but I didn't think about doing a towel. Worth a shot, thanks :)
