Unfortunately there are still bills to pay even if you don’t visit the site for months. Keeping the lights on is not free. So that is a very unlikely subscription model you’re describing.

I would wager they many of the same people arguing for a boycott went on to purchase it anyway. Opinions are free, as long as it doesn’t affect your life in any way.

That is your opinion. I sometimes prefer a video over a long text. Everyone has their own preference.

Which works for some content, but a lot of childrens content is only available through subscriptions to Netflix/Disney+/Max.

Not sure what country OP is in, but here in Copenhagen, Denmark they have ticket inspectors boarding busses at seemingly random stops, validating everyone's tickets, and then leave the bus again. Because you can enter the bus through any door now, so you can easily avoid purchasing a ticket.

Don’t know why you’re being downvoted. Truth hurts I guess? I have worked in IT for more than 25 years, installed Slackware from floppies in the 90s and have tried Linux countless times since. Every. Single. Time I end up wasting my time trying to fix hardware drivers or being forced to accept the programs I want to use don’t work on Linux and the alternative programs are just plain worse.

Oh and I have used Debian, Ubuntu, RedHat, Fedora, Mint, Slackware, Pop! Os, Alpine, Gentoo.
