I'm pretty sure the opposite is true, someone has implemented a date entry to be always different than the default in user's region

Microsoft is even worse, they do some places on region default, some places mm-dd-yyyy and some rare places in yyyy-mm-dd. I remember the worst example being powershell module for exchange server and message trace log. It'd output your region's default, but accept as input only mm-dd-yyyy

Say something nice about Jar-Jar Binks

This seems more terrifying than hanging. At some point you're too tired to stand, and then you'll need to give in and eventually die from asphyxiation

Why did this happen?

I suspect the real reason this happened was because

  1. Too small inner tube. The tube around the patch doesn't stretch enough and causes extra stress on the patch. Inner tubes are rated for specific tire diameter and width
  2. There's some spike still in the tire (doubtful since it took 5 minutes to blow)
  3. Shit quality or too old patch, dried up

Can't answer the glue question, but can see that didn't fail so that's nice

Dualingo is shitting on you. There's absolutely no context to a specific band there :(

[–] hemko 2 points 2 weeks ago (3 children)

I don't see any reason here why it'd refer to a specific band, just generally a band

AI (or probably better call it machine learning) has been used in engineering to create new ways of building things lighter while still keeping the structural integrity.

I think the point there is to iterate through millions of designs until you find one that meets the criteria or something

I haven't, I live very far from there. Just wanted to humorously throw in that famous quote

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Persecution_of_Uyghurs_in_China?wprov=sfla1

Since 2014, the government of the People's Republic of China has committed a series of ongoing human rights abuses against Uyghurs and other Turkic Muslim minorities in Xinjiang which has often been characterized as persecution or as genocide. There have been reports of mass arbitrary arrests and detention, torture, mass surveillance, cultural and religious persecution, family separation, forced labor, sexual violence, and violations of reproductive rights.

Hello fellow lemmings,

I'm glad to have discovered this magnificent sub community, and it made me think of a recent hike with my little spawn. During the rather long for her, 2 hourish and 4000 step hike, she kept collecting sticks from the ground and regularly dropping the least favorite ones to make more space in her little hands.

I'm not sure where I'm going with this story, but just wanted to say hello and I'm glad this community exists. I hope you'll stick around (badum-tss)

A post on Ask Lemmygrad by user Cyber Ghost titled "What are the reasons why Russia attacked Ukraine?"

Below is the comment by user @cfgaussian reading: "The Nazi Kiev regime attacked the ethnically Russian Donbass for eight years intending to commit genocide in their quest for an ethnically pure Ukraine and Russia finally came to their aid after it became clear that the Minsk agreements were never going to be honored. Also, NATO was turning Ukraine into a hyper militarized threat to the integrity and security of Russia itself. Refusal of the US and Europe to negotiate on a new inclusive security framework, refusal to stop NATO expansion eastward, and the relentless and violent anti-Russian psychosis that has gripped Ukraine since the Maiden coup that triggered a civil war in a country in which half or more of the population are essentially Russian became intolerable."

User Summertime Soviet has replied to the comment saying "It's a shame we can't pin comments on posts, because this one would get a pin from me.

so instead, have this Farmer_Heck seal of approval"
