If you know there was some product and buying obviously helps fund a sketchy lifestyle, you can compare that businesman's faulty morals and weigh it against corporate boardrooms. The guy selling stolen jewelry probably has more of a conscience than the company.

Economics is often about externalizing costs that are natural or ones that are moral, emotional and human. I don't think a single boardmember would ever see their resource extraction through and witness human pain and anguish the way agents of black markets do.

I believe your average sweatshop operator is the criminal you'd be comparing the businessman down the capitalist chain of command and everyone knows than humans are the least moral to traffick. Even if it's just labor trafficking it's a bad look. Some poor Bangladeshi overseer probably takes the fall far too often. Not always because his crapshack factory collapsed.

There's no MAGACommunism

I don't really watch much YT and only know of Bread Tube by hearing people criticize it. Although I've heard of Contrapoints and was shown a short skit that was unremarkable

Yeah that's unfortunate as I've checked into it. He opposed the installed president but also opposed Aristide. I spent too much time checking into that

Edit: I'm deciding to leave this up as there's some good info. It looks like he opposed empire but wanted to personally profit. The Haitian earthquake brought out all sorts of shadiness

First off the US sponsored coups in Haiti in 1991 and 2004

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Uphold_Democracy

https://haitisolidarity.net/in-the-news/the-final-chapter-has-still-not-been-written-remembering-the-2004-coup-in-haiti/

Over 300k people died in the 2010 Haiti Earthquake

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2010_Haiti_earthquake

Wyclef Jean attempted to run for president against the US backed leader in 2010 but was declared ineligible by election officials go gave no reason, and suffered harassment and death threats from political opponents in Haiti.

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2010/aug/22/wyclef-jean-haiti-presidential-election

He was also widely criticized by celebrities in the US who claimed he wasn't Haitian enough and had no experience. Among those who criticized him was the founding member of the Fugees, Pras

It gets weirder because shorlty after the earthquake Pras decided to do to side with two empres? Which ones, well the US and China of course. He was convicted on ten counts including a failed conspiracy to funnel money from the Malaysian businessman Jho Low and the government of China to Obama in 2012 and Donald Trump in 2016. He was convicted on 10 counts including conspiracy, fraud, witness tampering and acting as an unregistered foreign agent of China.

https://hiphopdx.com/news/fugees-rapper-pras-found-guilty-of-political-conspiracy-faces-20-years

It's kinda wild really. WTF. There was a Fugees reunion concert while Pras was fighting his legal battle. I wonder what Lauryn Hill thought of her bandmates political activities, and if Wyclef and Pras got along. Now that the empire had fucked both of them.

Wyclef famously sang: If I was President, I'd get elected on Friday, Assasinated on Saturday, Burried on Sunday, They go back to work on Monday

I wonder what he's up to now.

I'm not a pacifist but I've given it plenty of thought and I can't take a human life.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

suicide risk tbh. Also I'm not sure I can legally own one. Plus the cost and time to learn is a hassle. I don't wanna be caught with an illegal fireaerm. So plenty reasons.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

I looked into that and even a Yassir Arafat shirt but they don't exist :(

I ended up buying a knockoff Stussy shirt

I probably won't wear the Hezbollah shirt around because there's probably plenty of Sunnis around. One of my main late night food spots is halal and I don't ask people "what they are" unless I have a personal or business relationship with them. I think it's a lot of Iraqis of all types. I work with a Kurd.

The point of open carrying machetes is as a widespread protest movement.

So the basic premise is the national machete org is less lethal than tbe NRA and The Dickhead cops. So many cops have a penile haircut. Enough about that. This is best worn at night but on well lit streets. Every trans queer and self IDd oddballs, neurodiverse people should be macheted up n ready to giddy-up.

Of course this should remained shealthed unless someone tries you. it's less likely with the machetes. Btw these are "ghost machetes." they're not traced. They're a deterrant. Escalate to de-escalate homie.

I tend to film cops dealing with the unhoused. These guys all have knives on them. Legally they cannot be over 2.5in and confiscation and cutting em loose seems to be the cops' play of any length. I keep a 3.5in spring assist on my keychain. If I'm going out late with low light I keep a 5in spring assist in case I fumble with the keys. That is completely concealed..

If stopped by cops explain the protest movement and if you're light enough you'll most likely get it confiscated. You might get a misdemeanor citation which may go on your record but nobody cares about misdemeanors which is what plea bargains are for .. and that's for overcharged with a felony.

Robberies tend to be point blank. You're just as likely to thwak a potential armed robber as shoot him with your traceable gun and have to deal with BS.. One thwak with the machete and if your face isn't blasted off you let someone live. Maybe get a free gun. Maybe everything stripped off you or killed. Life is a series of gambles. Don't carry near schools ..

My sketch was too coked and jittery. It says NMA: If pepper pellets and tasers are less lethal so are machetes. I got this idea off a fat $20 bag of coke. Like over 300mg

We third world now.

Edit: Structure

3,000 innocents vs 5,000 American soldiers KIA vs 500k--2mil dead Afghanis and Iraqis...

I stand with Flava Flav--911 is still a joke

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 years ago

Only issue is the amount of Arabs that may take offense. Suppose I shoukd wear it under a shirt

2006 Hezbollah kicked Israeli out. 2016 onwards they fought against the US in Syria. Now they're keeping Isrsel from achieving its expressed goal for s greater israel. I don't support them in any religious way

Basically all I can think of for Red/Brown are the liberal members of the Boogaloos, Tucker on Ukraine but I'm not up to speed on this potential problematic alliance thst seems class reductionist. What are your takes? Is it because anti-govt leftists will search for allies. Do y'all consider Ancaps as Brownies. The biggest Red/Brown alliance I see is the toilet bowl after taco Tuesday

I've been to Canada and Europe and they're so much freer. I'd give the 2A rights if the cops disarmed. I may have lost those rights and nobody in my family worth $400 wants a firearm. I just see if I can buy one but don't wanna be an owner myself. My mom considered a 12 gauge for a minute but didn't want it

All while guns on the street cost half as much or less. The 2007 prices were ~$180 for a Glock 19 and like ~$120 for a shotgun that may be already sawed off. People dunno about the Chicago black market driving prices so far down. If you had AFOAF who was affiliated you night get in some trouble. We once went to a party I didn't know was at a park on enemigos turf. There was only one member who invited a couple girls and a couple guys to the park. 6 of us and only 3 guys vs at least a dozen Kings who were coked out and ready to fight.

So they stole a whole bunch of Modelos. The SGD guy who invited us to this stupid park session told me that if I hadn't made that U-Turn those LKs would've chucked the beers at my car. Like 24 of em. It would be worse if it were guns. When I would look up the cost of long guns online, I was shocked at how expensive they were. Nowadays if people wanna protect their families they may turn to the black market out of necessity.

Also not all gang members are desperately poor. The majority of the time it's family ties. Even if it's not there's the cool factor. They get girls, money, action packed lifestyle. They've got stories for the tertiary graffiti crews from the area. So this draws us closer. Just belonging to the crew felt cool. Even if I'd get ragged for lack of skills. So then that gang set was at least 30 guys from 13-30. Heck out in Little Village the cops murdered a 13yo with his hands up and just trying to ditch a blaster.

Plus the crews and gangs nesr me are cupcake compared to down therem

My mom is mixed Caribbean but I'm white as hell and I'm not from the hood or anything. Problem is that hoods and barrios end up in the same highschool. I was in a graffiti crew of over a dozen with only one MLD tagbanger and unlike that other guy, he made sure his beefs didn't include the rest of us. He'd leave the lunchroom. There were 9 active gangs at the school. The school was minorty white but obviously advantaged for us and asians.

When I took AP US history or English I was perceived as an A Student so a B+/A-/A, wasn't hard to get. When I'd go to my 2 Level Math and Science classes I would be perceived as a C student so it was tough to get a C+/B-. I was legitimately better at History and English which is why I was recommended by teachers. Still. Keep in mind that wirh weighted GPA an A in English is worth 5 points and my C+ in Math was worth 2.3. Rigged.

Friend of mine failed too many classes Jr and graduated after doing a second Jr year. It was cool to watch and he was my housemate that year because of potential homelessness. My mom also took in anorher friend but he was older and paid rent. Once people starting camping in the backyard she drew the line. Still I and the others were kicked out for too much alcohol and open drug dealing from me mostly but our bigger time dealer got robbed in the driveway. I had e enough money to live elsewhere until I ended up in the psych ward with bipolar

My friend went military then got a BA degree and more successful than me. I have a theory that poverty breeds ambition (part of the allure of gangs) as he needs to do it all himself. While I can be a middle class slacker with a mom who can help me financially and still does.

Oh yeah.... I once had an argument with a Bernie supporter who wanted a Domestic Terrorist Alert List. The argument got heated and I wasn't really for gun control if the police are still armed.

She called the cops to my fucking apartment.
