But if giving Nazis a platform radicalizes 10 people to become Nazis and 1 to reconsider, then it makes for a lot of Nazi recruitment.

I like the theory, but in practice it's dangerous to give seemingly equal platforms to everyone. Some people have views that should be checked at the door.

This is great, that machine has some funny weird details on it. The weld going over the bolted-together frame at ~5 o'clock on the photo is so silly. All the handles, levers, wiring, pullies going to nowhere

And in a few days, the gym will be nuts!

And they were made inoperable in the laziest way possible. Like someone bumped a cabinet and ALL of them broke. Easy, no more time travel.

Fine enough for a kid's book, but it tried to take itself WAY more seriously than that, just to continue to pick up and drop plot points and ideas constantly. I wouldn't mind it if a fair few people didn't hail it as if it's a great work

I have the J Saux dock. I hate how aggressive their marketing is, very astroturfy, but it has been good for my deck with some peripherals.

I'm just gonna hop on to say that there is zero world building in Harry Potter. I know that's because it was written for a youngish audience, but like the only things that are ever built on are used directly for the story in that book, then mostly left alone.

No one comes back years later with a Time Turner and wrecks havoc, for instance.

The few comparisons to Tolkien I've heard of her works are so unbelievably unfounded and off base.

Not to mention she's a TERF

Not to mention, the lightning plug was decent when it came out but stats wise it's WAY shittier than USB-C now. It's slow in charging speed and crazy slow in data transfer, and it's predatory in that only apple can make/use them.

480 Mb/s vs 40 Gb/s, wild

You have to also pay capital gains in the country you live in as if it's any old investment, if the country doesn't acknowledge the Roth as a retirement vessel. And a fair few countries don't.

So in the case of Denmark, annually I'd have to pay the marginal rate I'm at (and can deduct up that as income to the FEIE limit for the US) on the growth of the Roth, even though the US won't let me take the money out without penalty.

And if that doesn't seem fair, I totally agree and so do a lot of ex pats lol. It's total BS but basically the money would cost you a lot every year to keep even if you retired in the US with it. Depending on numbers and age and plan, it may or may not be worth it for someone to keep.

If I had known when I was 22 I never would've put a dime into it since I didn't plan to live in the US forever.

The Kingdom Rush series and the (totally different) Kingdom Classic/Kingdom Two Crowns series are both excellent. I don't need them on steam (though if given them I will find a good regift home for them) but just to anyone looking!

Interstellar. That ending was so unbelievably dumb that I can't even stomach the rest of the movie thinking about it.

I know it's got rave reviews, a stacked cast, Nolan directing. Plenty was pretty, cool concepts, high stakes scenes. But that ending... shudders
