Most I talk to say they're getting what they voted for and they're still happy.

404media is pretty solid, for what it's worth.
Plenty of people join a system to try and improve it, even if that's naive.
Job market is crap right now, but anyone who feels like a cog should probably be spamming out job apps, yeah.
Either way, I can guarantee that there are a lot of employees in the company that would love to change it from the inside.
I can also guarantee that a good chunk of the company is offshore and probably doesn't care as much about how it's impacting the USA.
I understand where you're coming from, because many societies are being structured in ways that make it feel like you are only hurting yourself by not being just and moral. It's truly horrible when trying to live a life following "the good" puts you in the path of pain all the time, working jobs you don't want to afford not to be put out on the street (and God forbid you want to have kids if you're in a high cost of living area).
With all that being said: I'd fear becoming an evil person more than dying poor. I hope that we can work together to make a world that isn't run by greedy, bad people.
I use AI almost daily as a software engineer. I like it because I'm training to jump into infosec, and the job market is going to be amazing as all this exploitable AI code keeps hitting prod.
It’s cool the hate on the US but there’s a reason it was the world super power for decades.
The military industrial complex?
They're either extremely uneducated in current standards of living, or being purposefully deceitful. I'd like to think it's the former. They should have a class for rich people so they can understand what life is like without family money or high salaries.
I believe the .gov rumor isn't true, and it's mainly .edus. I haven't seen it, though. Waiting for someone to drop a pastebin/other leak, because all the reddit threads showing a source end up getting removed before I can read them.
Stop the sale of carbon credits and you'll really see the stock dip.
I've seen way too many of these cars, both in my town and in other states. I always want to know what could compel this vibe but I keep my distance, and I've never seen a driver.
How does this not anger the domestic prison industrial complex?
Before streaming, I would need to wait for the next VHS or DVD to arrive at the store to see what happened next. Evangelion in particular only had the last VHS in Japanese in my local store (I was young and preferred the dubs). It was fun waiting for the next one to come out. Gave me something to look forward to.
Same goes for Berserk 97. When I found out the last DVD was it for the series, I was like WHAT? Surely there will be follow up.
And now it's 2025. They tried a few times but we all know what happened.
