It does!

If you want to actually digitally sign you can add a key in your OS and then go to "Tools -> Digitally sign" where you can choose a background image which you then can drag where you want to have it.

If you only want your written signature in there, you can create a stamp for it. Click on the arrow beside "Yellow Highlighter" (or whichever tool you have selected) in the top right corner. Select "Configure Annotations" and hit "Add...".

Make the type a stamp, give it a name like "Signature" and select an image you want to use. After that save and apply.

You can now select your stamp in the top right corner and place it anywhere by clicking or dragging over the PDF.

As a side note, depending on where you live a written signature in a PDF is meaningless at least in terms of legally binding documents.

If you can solder (or know somebody that can) and your PS4 controller is in good shape otherwise, there are hall effect stick replacements available for PS4 controllers.

I don't really use applications with multiple windows and Wayland seems to remember the window size and place it in the center which works fine for me.

but I rely on an app that allows me to use my smartphone as an input device.

What sort of input device? KDE Connect can use your phone as mouse/keyboard (and much more).

Also, it runs like absolute ass compared to World.

I use Jellyfin with Finamp on Android/PC and the Jellyfin plugin for Kodi on my HTPC.

The Jellyfin plugin does movies/shows too and not just music but it handles music playback as well. For a dedicated music box I'm not sure if I would use Kodi for it.

They better not put up a crystal-covered toilet.

The first paragraphs on https://endof10.org/ tell you why you should install Linux followed by telling you how to get in touch with someone who can explain things to you and even install it for you. Most of them do it free of charge. I'm not sure how you can improve on that.

Depending on which services you want to replace, Nextcloud might also be worth a look. There are quite a few hosted options available by Hetzner and others.

Is number 3 Linux support? Otherwise I'm not shocked and MAUI is still useless.

Is it still possible to see those generated summaries somewhere? Would like to see what their model outputs for some articles, especially compared to the human written lead-in.

It looks like a lot of the complaining is about how it's not like Patapon?

Most of it, but not all of it.

I played a little bit of the demo and was excited for a Patapon clone but it felt...off?

My main issues with it:

  • Moving your own character does not really add anything to the game
  • It's really easy for the music to sound off-beat by narrowly missing the timing
  • The metronome was replaced by a fixed Guitar Hero-like note display
  • There is too much going on at times, mostly due to the more complex art style
  • The beat between enemies and yourself does not match, making it impossible to counter some attacks
  • You cannot cancel the beat by failing on purpose; If you fail, you have to wait until you can input the next command

I really hope they can improve things but right now I don't really enjoy it.

I don't really want to use a USB TPU (no real reason)

Since there is no real reason, why no reevaluate?

I connected my USB TPU to a spare internal USB 3.0 header and mounted it inside the case. Frigate has been working perfectly fine for years.

I also use quite a few PCIe M.2 adapters but only for SSDs. No complaints here, full transfer speed and reliable. No reason why it shouldn't work for TPUs.

It's not really a well-kept secret that the search in Jellyfin needs a lot of work. It's slow, doesn't deal with typos and commas correctly and doesn't allow searching multiple fields at once.

I made a quick and dirty proxy to enable a proper full-text search in Jellyfin while the dev team is working on the EFCore migration. It's not perfect but it's much better than what Jellyfin currently provides.

If you are running Jellyfin inside of Docker and use a Traefik reverse proxy, check out the image/repo below.

If you know what you're doing (this is Lemmy after all), the proxy is a simple ASP.NET application and works with pretty much every reverse proxy once configured.

https://hub.docker.com/r/domistyle/jellysearch

If you tested with any Jellyfin client not in the README, feel free to let me know. If you used any other reverse proxy than Traefik, also let me know.

Hey there,

I used to have a command run 10 seconds after the screen is locked which turned all displays off. I can't find the option to run a command when the screen locks anymore.

In Plasma 5 I used this:

This is what it looks like in Plasma 6:

Is there another place to do this now?

Doesn't matter if it happened to you, a friend or a streamer. Bonus points if you have a video of it.

I know this is a fairly small community but let's see how this goes:

I just started a multiplayer playthrough recently with somebody who was constantly asking if he could have found X before finding the info that points him to it, hence this post.

My favorite skip:

spoilerI had a friend stream the game who accidentally walked into the Ash Twin Project after walking away backwards from the oncoming sand and stepping on the teleporter platform. He never figured out how he managed to do it all the way until the end of his playthrough but it was an interesting watch since he had information players wouldn't normally have right from the start.

I have a spare (unopened) Outer Wilds vinyl lying around which I'm willing to send to a non-scalper Outer Wilds fan for MSRP. The vinyl in question: https://www.iam8bit.com/products/outer-wilds-2xlp

Before selling it on eBay I thought I would try here. The price I paid including shipping and import customs is 50€, shipping is on me.

So if you live in the EU, have a record player and want it, just post a quick picture with your record player setup and your Lemmy username on a piece of paper so I can see that you can actually play it.

Since a bunch of new users are arriving from Reddit (including me) maybe it would make sense to port the /r/anime bot that creates episode discussions to Lemmy so there's regular content here?

The bot is open source: https://github.com/r-anime/holo

Looking at the source it should not be so difficult to add an option to post to Lemmy as well.

Thoughts?
