I just watched a live interview with Taylor Lorenz. She said that everyone in the article was children between the age 11-17. She said that many of the children knew people who had been victims of ICE and some of the children were re-enacting things that they experienced.

She also said that one child was shouting "No human is illegal" and shooting at ICE in roblox.

I was trying to find the official statement from the Chinese Embassy in Israel. Global Times says you need a special phone app to get alerts from the embassy. Global Times and CGTN are news in China, but the articles are short.

This article from earlier in the day shows a different alert from the Chinese Embassy app.

My take away is that the behavior is irrational. I see a bunch of panicked posts about Trump's truthsocial statement. With this White House statement being contradictory, Trump's statement could be empty or it could be real. It does seem like a Biden moment as the other user pointed out.

White House tells CNN that Trump's "immediately evacuate Tehran" message is meant to indicate that Iran needs to return to negotiations with the US.

I am clarifying because right wing twitter have declared the shooter to be a left wing radical. I'm suspecting right wingers will create conspiracy theories similar to the David DePape situation, where they claimed that the attack was motivated by a lover's quarrel.

[–] [email protected] 55 points 2 weeks ago (5 children)

I'm highly doubting that the motivation of the shooter was that he supported free healthcare. The suspected shooter worked for private security, had US military ties, and owned a cop car.

This is the suspect that the police announced. He's very fed-coded. ~~I think he's also South African.~~

Editing this comment because I can't confirm that he was from South Africa. He was a member of "Minnesota Africans United", a connection for the network of African immigrants in Minnesota.

The devs have said that all of the poe 2 engine code is being backported to poe 1. They may have already backported much of it. There is no "I can only play poe 2 because poe 1 code is bad". It's the same code.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 weeks ago (3 children)

Both games run on mostly the same code. POE2's game engine is based on POE1's code. There's even examples where POE1 features have accidentally been left in POE2, example: the POE2 anointment window prompted you to use tainted oil, an item which doesn't exist in POE2.

For performance issues, update your graphics driver, delete the game graphics cache files.

Daniel Jongyon Park, 32, from Kent, was arrested at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City overnight in connection with the May 17 car bombing outside the American Reproductive Centers clinic in Palm Springs

Prosecutors allege that Park supplied 270 pounds of ammonium nitrate, an explosive precursor commonly used to construct homemade bombs, to Guy Edward Bartkus, the primary suspect in the bombing. Bartkus, 25, and four others were injured in the May 17 bombing.

Four days after the bombing, prosecutors say Park fled the United States for Europe.

Park flew to Warsaw, Poland, via Denmark on May 21, where he was detained on May 30 by Polish authorities. He was deported back to the U.S. and arrested by the FBI and Port Authority police at JFK Airport.

The translation by the translator at the press conference is different than the translation provided by the MFA website. The question asked by the Journalist is about US concerns that China has interfered in the South Korea election. China tells the US to stop projecting.

Transcription of the video. The translation is made by a live translator in the press room.

News 1 Korea: White House said in a statement following Presidents Lee Jae-myung's election that the ROK holds free election while the US is concerned about China's interference in global diplomacies. What is your comment?

Lin Jian: We noticed this. China follows the principle of non-interference in other countries' internal affairs. We have never interfered with other countries' internal affairs and will not do so. China is not a mirror image of the US. The US should stop speculating what China will do based on its own behavior and stop sewing discord between China and ROK.

Transcription provided by the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with slightly different translation.

News 1 Korea: Today, the White House congratulated Lee Jae-myung on winning the presidency, and expressed its concern over China’s interference and influence in democracies around the world. What’s China’s take on this?

Lin Jian: We saw that statement. China always follows the principle of non-interference in other countries’ internal affairs, and has never and will never interfere in the internal affairs of any country. We urge the U.S. to change the habit of assuming that China would act in the way that the U.S. does, and stop trying to sow discord between China and the ROK.

GREENBLATT:

What I really want is, whether it's social media influencers on Twitch and YouTube like Hasan Piker, or other kind of promoters of hate on YouTube and Tik Tok like Guy Christensen, or like you know these speakers at these graduations it just happened the other day at MIT, spreading blood libels about the Jewish people or the Jewish state.

It creates the conditions in which this kind of act is happening with increasing frequency. We've got to stop it once and for all. I hope the Trump administration will do just that.

Jonathan conflates Judaism with Zionism, "Jewish people or the Jewish state". He is lying when he says that anti-Zionists are attributing the actions of Israel with Judaism. Jonathan Greenblatt is doing the thing that he accuses others of doing.

Joss voiced John Redcorn from Season 2 through Season 13 of “King of the Hill” and already recorded lines for the upcoming revival of the popular animated series. He’ll be seen in Episode 2 of the show’s upcoming Season 14, and possibly more episodes beyond that.

In a statement on Joss’ Facebook page, his husband Tristan Kern de Gonzales said that Joss was “murdered by someone who could not stand the sight of two men loving each other.”

UPDATE Joss's husband made a statement on facebook after I created this post. Added context.

MILLER: I think it is, without a doubt, true that Israel has committed war crimes.

INTERVIEWER: You wouldn't have said that at the podium?

MILLER: Yeah, look, because I when you're at the podium, you're not expressing your personal opinion. You're expressing the conclusions of the United States government. The United States government has had not concluded that they've committed war crimes, still have not concluded that.

INTERVIEWER: But your personal view is they have?

MILLER: Well so ...

INTERVIEWER: And they were while you were there?

MILLER: But but but ... Yes but here let me let me qualify that. There are two ways to think about the commission of war crimes. One is if the state has pursued a policy to deliberately committing war crimes or is acting reckless in a way that aids and abets war crimes. That I think is an open question.

I think, what is hard, is almost certainly not an open question, is that there have been individual incidents that have been that have been war crimes, where members of the Israeli military have committed war crimes.

In almost every major conflict, including conflicts prosecuted by democracies, you will see individual members of the military commit war crimes. The way you judge a democracy is whether they hold those people accountable.

INTERVIEWER: but Israel hasn't been that.

MILLER: That's my point is we have not yet seen them hold sufficient numbers of the military accountable. I think it's an open question whether they're going to.

INTERVIEWER: I'm really struck that you think now that Israel did commit war crimes and yet at the time, and I get why, but at the time you were at the podium and you couldn't say that, i mean personally that must be very difficult

MILLER: Welllll ... So the state department itself had concluded, they didn't phrase it in these terms, but I think I did at the the podium, a few times, had concluded that it was likely that Israel had committed war crimes, but I do think it's almost certain that that they have.

Multiple people at Boulder's Pearl Street Mall in Colorado were burned when they were attacked by a man during a march for Israeli hostages Sunday, according to police.

Witnesses at the scene told CBS Colorado that the suspect attacked people with Molotov cocktails who were participating in a walk to remember the Israeli hostages who remain in Gaza.

Run For Their Lives, which organized the walk, said, "This is not a protest; it is a peaceful walk to show solidarity with the hostages and their families, and a plea for their release."

"So we stood up, lined up in front of the old Boulder courthouse, and I was actually on the far west side. And there was somebody there that I didn't even notice, although he was making a lot of noise, but I'm just focused on my job of being quiet and getting lined up. And, from my point of view, all of a sudden, I felt the heat. It was a Molotov cocktail equivalent, a gas bomb in a glass jar, thrown. Av [another marcher] saw it, a big flame as high as a tree, and all I saw was someone on fire," said Victor.

Video of the scene shows what appears to be a burn scar in front of the old courthouse and a person being taken away on a stretcher. Photos from a viewer show a shirtless man at the scene being detained by police.

FBI Director Kash Patel, in a statement, described the incident as a targeted terror attack and said agents were on the scene.

Redfearn, however, said it was too early to speculate about a motive. “We are not calling it a terror attack at this moment,” he said.
