I could see some displacement but if you like to sit down and eat while watching TV a HMD probably won't work
darkkite
i heard complaints about the metaphor game looking like a ps3 game. I had several complaints regarding the game but not the graphics. i didn't mind if it meant it keeps the budget low and they're able to maintain a healthy release cadence.
possibly, but that specific use-case has been solved with dedicated image hosting tools that allow sharable links https://photoview.github.io/
this is more decentralized social networks
i still can't say "call mom" or "take me home" like i could with the old google assistant
ideally, this is a native feature in lemmy
it's unclear if the feed is the same for everyone or it's relevant to the user's interests as the recommendation algorithm is actually with makes tiktok useful.
my favorite game of this gen.
playing with 70+ mods and vr is a literal game-changer
I play the deus ex games over and over and cyberpunk surpases them IMO.
DE does less with more, but 77 offers better combat, exploration, and better relationships. The stuff with megan reed in the first was ineffective, but the characters you meet in 77 jackie, panam, judy hit much more. you not only explore more characters, but yourself more than jenson ever does.

if you watch this small clip you'll notice how deus ex rarely allows you to enter/exit important buildings via glass windows. in 77, while your cannot enter your apartments that way you can for many gig locations, but you might need the augs, or tech expertise to open a sliding window.
adding mods on PC that add hardcore, realistic hunger and sleep, vr and this clears the modern deus ex games. I do want Adam's story resolved though
I'd argue each CDPR game improves on the one before including cyberpunk, but since it was a new franchise and perspective it was like creating witcher 1 all over again except... The combat offered more choice that the witcher games, better 3d level design, pretty solid endings (better than deus ex, and mass effect).
if you're on pc. get the friendly ui mod and try to hide the mini map and use 3d ~~maps~~ marker instead. immersion is so much better
this is my favorite gen of gaming ps2, xbox, gamecube.
The biggest graphical leap, releasing a larger quantity of diverse games, a faster release cadence, and very little of the bad that came in subsequent gens like horse armor.
they didn't really boast it as the title would imply. it's a job posting so my take is that it's more aspirational or setting a target.
I would like more consequences like the pickup mission where you have to think of actual factions but the game offers a lot of choice.
Most choice is gameplay and build related where you have multiple methods of completing an objective and many times you can go out of order. This is in stark contrast to gta which has better sandboxes but much less gameplay choice is missions.
Even still there are things like taking out Jotaro in the one gig affects the dialog with Woodman later, playing as corpo allows you to skip the infiltration for the arasaka float, judy or maiko for clouds, and the endings are all as powerful as they are varied. I would still say your choices matter as even your chosen sex affects romance options. Phantom liberty expansion elevate the gigs and choices a bit more. For example the sphere hunter gig where you infiltrate the ncpd headquarters adds a check at the end if you went lethal or not. If the main boss can't detect their biomonitors then you can't leave without a fight (though i also encountered a bug here).
For the sequel i definitely want more reacting NPCs more dynamic open world behavior vs map icon hunting, and more consequences that are also faction-based like maelstrom vs militech
