Have you considered sending the journalist a message about this? I haven’t seen mention of it anywhere else

Exactly no one will think twice about seeing you playing a GameBoy ROM on your phone, you’re good

One of the maintenance shop supervisors abruptly went on administrative leave. I was chatting with him one day, and the next, his boss was emailing all the other directors and people who work with him that he was on leave effective immediately. No clue why, but I’m super curious, because it can’t have been good. Last time something like this happened the plumbers had changed the locks to their break room, put gaming chairs and an Xbox in there, and kept faking their time sheets.

I would not set foot in Florida or Texas if you paid me.

I do! I volunteer at a dairy goat CSA, and I’ve learned how to make my own chèvre at home

Yay, I’m so happy for you! What jewelry did they give you? Just like simple studs while the piercings heal?

But I’m so good at obsessing over things I can’t control!

You’re right though, I just need to keep my head down, be around people I can trust, and keep making progress bit by bit

I’m glad you found such a great place to live! I left the red state I grew up in a few years ago, and I’m never looking back.

And thank you for the encouragement 😊 I’m still not brave enough to go outside while presenting femme, but I love the little sparks of joy I get from doing affirming things at home!

Yeah, my state has decent discrimination protections thankfully, but local governments and schools are trying to comply in advance with these bullshit executive orders. It’s just disheartening.

I do paint my nails! It’s one of the most visible affirming things I feel like I can get away with, makes me happy 😊 and I’m planning on getting my earlobes pierced in a few weeks too

Play some Traveller with friends tomorrow, tidy around the apartment so it looks nice when my wife gets back from her trip, probably take my dog for a walk or two if the weather allows. If I’m feeling inspired, I want to print some zines on local foraging and go around putting them in Little Free Libraries. Should be pretty chill, and I’m not mad about that!

I recently read (listened to) The Will to Change by bell hooks and Whipping Girl by Julia Serano, and I found them both pretty good

Say I’m on Mastodon, and someone posts a reply to a meme that I think is funny. I take a screenshot of their post to send to other people or post on Lemmy. Is it more polite/respectful/appropriate to censor out their name and handle (to respect their privacy) or leave it in (to give them appropriate credit for their idea)?

I’m still a newcomer to self hosting, and I could use some guidance on how to best accomplish what I’m trying to do.

Right now, I’ve got AdGuard, Jellyfin, and Nextcloud running on a Raspberry Pi 4 with a 500 GB external hard drive, using YunoHost. Those services are all available at my free domain name provided by YunoHost.

I’d like to run all of those services on the same Pi they’re on now, but using Docker, so I have more control and access to more applications. I would also like to configure a reverse proxy so I can access them at, for example, nextcloud.mydomain.com. (YunoHost doesn’t support custom domains from Porkbun, which is the registrar I’m using.)

What would be the least painful way to go about this? I understand how Docker works conceptually, but I admittedly don’t really know how to use it in practice. Are there any resources available that would get me up to speed quickly?

Appreciate the help - thanks!

Technically it’s for any printer capable of printing a firearm or the components of a firearm, which is…. every printer. What a bafflingly stupid proposal. If you’re in NY, please call your reps and tell them to oppose this bill.
