I remember trying to get these to work a while back and failing... I wonder how they are working now. Might give it a shot later. Thanks for reminding me of these gems.

That is one awesome looking web page. Very interesting read too.

Jitsi.

No installs required on any participant. No login required (except for host recently). No time limit or user limit (maybe there is but we use it and have never had any problems). Works awesome.

I think the UAW planned for these layoffs. What is Ford suppose to do with all the workforce standing around when the supply chain has been cut and halted on strategic sections. The whole assembly line is down, not just the striking workers. They were counting on Unemployment benefits from the government to stretch out the UAW fund to it's maximum. This move puts Ford in a much tighter squeeze and will probably help leverage the negotiations on behalf of the UAW. Also, the public eye will frown upon the big 3 by laying off workers. On top of losing sales and market they will hurt their reputation which will be the costlier of them all. It seems that the UAW is prepping for the long haul. Let's go workers!!!

I just hope that this gets resolved quickly and favorably because all of the industry (supply chain all the way to the bottom) will hurt because of this.

I defaulted to DDG now. It has been working just fine. Every now and then I can't find something and I will append a "!g" at the end of the search in DDG to get Google results.

I will use Yandex when searching for more copyright infringing content which works very well too.

That has me 100% covered. If I were to lose Google I would still be 98% covered.

Maps in my head are useless. I get lost everywhere. When I went to university I walked so much more than I had to because of orientation issues. I get lost so easily. Even when playing games, if there is no map I just draw one myself because I have 0 reliability on my orientation skills. GPS was such a life saver for me. I rely waaay too much on it. For when I do not have the tools (GPS, map or other) I use visual cues in the background such as tall buildings, mountains or the sun's position. I don't really think about it since I've been doing this since I can remember but I always feel amazed at how others around me can just know which direction to start walking after coming out of a door. Eventually I do memorize it but it takes a while.

Have you tried running an emulator? There are tons of Tactics games that are way superior to anything mobile. Save states ensure you don't miss anything by shutting down and starting right back where you left. I was a little reluctant at first since I saw it as a non-native app and patchy or glitchy. It was not and I was wrong. Emulation on mobile is rock solid. Give it a go.

Tactics Ogre for the PSP is very well liked and still holds. Runs very well on my android.

Oh and it's also $0!!

Yeah I have the same thing. I can sort of visualize the concept, like foggy still images of tetris games I've played but I cannot imagine a game setup where a piece would fall and complete a line. That is too specific. I can just do like general concepts, not specifics.

Place a box with sand near the area you want to protect. Move it further away a feet or so by day. In 10 days that cat will be shitting wherever you guided it to. Leave the box and or the sand. Done.

Low cost. Low effort. No animal cruelty. No dealing with neighbor. Effective.

I just tried it (Android). Seems solid. Can't block youtube ads though so for now, sticking with my Firefox+Ublock in android.

Plex will cast to a Chromecast with subtitles. It will also fetch them if you don't have an SRT file in the folder of your video with the same name. Lenguages is also selectable at the time of fetch. I do not pay for pro. Nonetheless, I have not tried jellyfin and cannot tell you if it is possible there or not. My guess is it should.
