If you're actually being harassed by someone with alt accounts on reddit, these are my suggestions:

Reddit admins don't care for the entire story, they just want to get over your case as quickly as possible.

I doubt their responses are guided by malice, but rather incompetence and laziness.

If you want a chance of Reddit admins to listen to your case, I suggest you dumb-it-down into individual actionable statements. For example:

(These are just example usernames btw)

  • u/foobar was banned on YYYY-MM-DD because of this comment: LINK. I believe they have been making new accounts to harass me since then.

  • u/xyz: Was banned on YYYY-MM-DD because of harassing comments (LINK) / harassing DMs (Screenshots of DMs). I believe they were an alt because the account was 3 days old when it started harassing me.

  • u/noahwashere: Was banned on YYYY-MM-DD because of harassing comments (LINK) / harassing DMs (Screenshots of DMs). I believe they were an alt because they admitted so in this comment: LINK.

  • u/yeye27: Was banned on YYYY-MM-DD because of harassing comments (LINK) / harassing DMs (Screenshots of DMs). I believe they were an alt because they used the same profile picture as u/xyz.

  • u/joseph39: Was banned on YYYY-MM-DD because of harassing comments (LINK) / harassing DMs (Screenshots of DMs). I believe they were an alt because they hinted to ban-evasion in this comment: LINK.

etc.

All of these instances have already been dealt with, either by banning them from my subreddit, or by blocking the account from messaging me, but I'm asking if there's anything that could be done so this person stops making alt accounts to harass me. Some suggestions:

  1. Block their IP address from making new accounts temporarily
  2. Block their email address / email domain from being used to register new accounts
  3. Block their phone numbers from being used to verify new accounts.

OP, on your end, I suggest you to disable PMs and set a minimum account karma requirement so fresh new accounts can't post nor comment in your subreddit.

Also, consider making your Reddit post into a blogpost on a separate website, so that your report can't be deleted.

As for the title of this post...

Reddit is letting a public figure harass me with impunity because I outed his company for fraud

That's a conjecture. They're just taking a while to respond to your very long messages, which isn't unusual for support people.
