Added to the list. BTW, the FAQ link on your sidebar goes to programming.dev's copy of your FAQ post. May want to change it to point to the local one.

Yep. Go ahead and make a top-level post for it so that people subscribed here will see it. :)
Don't stretch yourself too thin, though. Might be something to back-burner if money is tight.
I'm surprised that this doesn't exist already. There's terefere.eu - "Arts & history instance", but it seems to be down at the moment so I can't see more details. There's also crystals.rest - "A general instance for livestreaming, anime, and retro art!", but that's just for one specific type of art.

Illegalist anarchists have entered the chat.
Yeah, this is why I like topic-specialized instances:
- They have admins that are actually interested in the topic and will tailor the rules appropriately.
- Hopefully are set up in and administered from friendly jurisdictions, to reduce legal risk.
- Will be less likely to shy away from the risk of (possibly frivolous) legal action, whereas the admins of a general instance are more inclined to play it safe.
We need to think of what we're doing here less as recreating reddit, and more as linking together all those old phpBB-style enthusiast forums.

Making it on a kbin instance was a good choice. :D
Kbin does defederate, but doesn't publish the defederations. EH and grad are blocked, at least. They are planning to add a page for it though.
Y'all could set up on psychedelia.ink instead: "A Lemmy instance for all things psychedelia or psychedelia-adjacent."
There may be other appropriate specialized instances as well, that was just the first one that I noticed.
I see 4 comments, not 3. :/
Just happened to me. The post does get made, but it doesn't get sorted to the top in the "hot" view. Try sorting by "new" after posting (or going to your profile) and upvoting your post. That seems to bump it back up.
Ah, right, because it was made from your programming.dev account. But yeah, I think it would make things easier for people who are checking out your instance, since it's kind of surprising to get redirected to another instance when clicking the FAQ link.
