Why do hungry people have a higher likelihood of murdering each other?
I imagine the argument is that they're murdering each other over the remaining scraps of food. Which doesn't seem entirely untrue considering how many wars have historically been fought over farmland and resources.
That being said the idea of most people turning into murderers doesnt seem to fit too well into what happened during actual famines.
I don't think it's particularly unreasonable to conclude that any decent approach to the first will also include the second. That shit is literally designed to be addictive, even the best teachers are gonna struggle to compete.
It's especially concerning when it extends to global/political issues (this is why I said this might be controversial). Reading a quick Wikipedia summary and/or article can go a long way
One of my favorite examples of people getting things embarrassingly wrong is the "Taiwan is not part of China" crowd. Both sides historically disagree with this. Taiwan being a part of China is not some point that has been in dispute until very recently.
The disagreement has historically been over which is the "rightful government". Sure sentiments in Taiwan have been changing but even this year there was a former Taiwanese president saying this explicitly
Any of the dumbass Americans who proudly declare "Taiwan is not and never has been a part of China" can be easily dismissed.
It's all been invented before yeah but at least some of them are within the past two decades like the smartphone projector or whatever.

But some of this stuff has been around for 50+ years.
I also love how much of it is normal product but with the word college put in front. A clothes hamper? Simple, boring, not innovative. A Collegelife clothes hamper? Genius.
The word autism to me isn't like "something I have" but rather just a descriptive term about me and my traits. It's like
"That person is nice" = nice person "that person is mean" = mean person "That person is into art" = artistic person
Autism is just a label, an observation made that "hey people with X and Y trait also seem to have A, B, C trait in common". I would be who I am with or without the word existing so putting it as something I "have" rather than am feels odd.
But you're free to use and prefer what you want for yourself.
This is a big reason that high quality TVs are getting so much more affordable.
There's a lot of reasons like improved technology and efficiency but yeah, the ability to play such targeted ads based off what you're doing is pretty insane and they have a vested interest to sell at less profit.
And at the end of the day the amount of people who are willing to just not connect their TV to the internet in the first place or find a way to circumvent them is low. Like it still shocks me every time I see a YouTuber not have adblock on.

I've been playing games ever since I was a little kid, I don't really remember any particular "first game". We did have an old SNES that I did all the time so probably Super Mario World I guess.
Depends. If we mean "without a personal teacher" sure, but no one is looking at a book of a language the don't know and just suddenly learning it.
From what I'm aware of, Paxlovid isn't approved under the FDA normally but rather under emergency authorization which means some pretty big limitations on how it can be prescribed.
Now it's an absurdity that they haven't fast tracked the approval process but that's the main issue at least.
