On trend, as always. ;)

Thanks! Things are going a bit better now. It can take some time, but you've just got to be sure to take extra care of yourself when you've been going through it for a bit.

Honestly, I'm really excited to have the motivation to draw again. For years that was my passion and I think I just let the weight of how I thought I SHOULD be pursuing art kind of squash that for a long while. It's amazing how in your own head you can get.

As I've started to let that go I've been able to relax more and just enjoy myself again.

Ah! I missed this one. Okay, better late than never.

January was... a lot. (That seems to be the theme!)

But, I've actually started drawing more again and playing around with some original ideas. I've also been plotting out a few new fic threads for when I have energy again. It's nice to have the inspiration. Once I have the focus, I'll hopefully write a few of them out. :)

Yes. Yes I am. I do this. I get hyper-fixated on a series and after the Gen 9 DLC (disappointing btw) I am once again on a Pokemon kick. I don't know what it is about this series. Fire Emblem is the only other series to come close, but again with the newer gens.

Kaga created a brilliant game series, but I would probably gnaw off my console arm within the first hour of attempting Thracia. (I've watched my husband play it.)

Ah! That's interesting. I'm playing Alpha Sapphire right now. I love Pokemon, but tend toward the newer gens because they have more story.

Older games, or games that mimic older styles, can be pretty hit and miss for me as a result, even though I can appreciate a lot of the work and complexity put into them from an outside view (watching someone else play).

Revisiting the anime got me on a Hoenn kick, so here we are.

If you like indie games, and if you enjoy puzzles and story, have you ever tried Ib? It's a short indie psychological horror game that is all puzzles (no fighting), but really interesting.

What did you think of Cassette Beasts? I watched a play through of that one not long ago with mixed reaction. But, I'm curious as to how others received it and how they felt about playing through it.

Wrapping up ORAS and debating between Platinum and Heart Gold. It's nostalgia week, I guess, as my husband is currently replaying a bunch of Final Fantasy games. XD

I love fics focused on obscure characters and I've written a few. I've been toying with the idea of writing an OC. As pointed out by LeGaosaure and others, certain fandoms definitely lend themselves to it with blank slate player character roles. That said, even a fully customizable player character build will often take a backseat to that NPC who had 3 lines of dialogue that just hit right. XD

I am deep into a run of Alpha Sapphire. I swear I play games other than Pokemon (mostly newer gen Fire Emblem). XD

Giftfic is fun! I've been toying with an idea for one recently, but a lot has been going on (hence my recent bout of absence. Sorry!)

The fix-it instinct is strong and nearly impossible to resist. I understand. XD

I'm so sorry. It sounds like things have been incredibly rough. I'm glad you found inspiration! Were you revisiting a favorite fandom or just writing something you came up with yourself?

Sometimes grief can make it hard to even want to move, so having written something is great. I'm glad to hear it!

I'm trying to imagine something fanfic DOESN'T exist for SOMEWHERE...
