Isn't it pretty obvious? If literally any European posted news in their native language, outside of the Brits and the Irish, it would be literally incomprehensible to 80-90% of the continent.
Not to mention ^(proceeds^ ^to^ ^mention)^ the problem that we don't care about each other's internal politics and don't know enough about their context to follow them. People might follow the EU topics and the large-scale shitfests such as Brexit, French protests and of course the Russo-Ukrainian war. But that's it.
E.g. I just realised that my country borders six other countries and I can't name the current PM/president of two of them. (for somewhat excusable reasons, but regardless of that it's not a good look)

How would the unique plotlines be determined by the language they're told in? Why would the amount of plotlines be based on human cognitive capabilities? None of this makes sense.
Either way, "unique plotline" doesn't mean anything, from the perspective of literary or narrative studies. There's no universal, objective way to dissect narratives, and they cannot be boiled down to a distinct number of basic models. There have been attempts to get to the most fundamental narrative model (Greimas, Campbell), but they're far from widely accepted.
People who are just flat against any and all AI or LLMs are behind the curve.
Art is, by itself, not something that has "the curve". If you're doing something with very practical goals and need hyperproduction, sure, but art is not necessarily made or consumed with such a logic.
The userbase is significantly bigger than some fairly decent forums that I use or used to visit. The problem is rather the behaviour of the users (reddit started to favour more Instagram-like behaviour of scrolling and "liking" rather than normal forum-like dialogue, especially when you look at r/all, and I think we're yet to grow out of it fully), and their relatively narrow range of interests (tech + political news) that leaves the other areas empty.
But when nobody comments on your submissions, is it even "kept active"? :/

It certainly wouldn't be brigading if the ratio of hexbear comments was proportional to its size. But I haven't seen many lemmy.world comments there, for example, and they saw the thread in their feeds just as much as you did.

Federation works by connecting various instances with different goals and different userbases. Those instances need a space to discuss those goals among themselves, where the admins can communicate with the users, etc. Some external engagement is to be expected, but one specific instance creating 3x more comments than all the others taken together (including the instance whose policy is supposed to be discussed) should, uh, raise an eyebrow.
To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Ben Garrison. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of political philosophy most of the jokes will go over a typical reader's head. There's also Ben's perennialist outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Nouvelle Droite literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realise that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Ben Garrison truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Ben's antimodernist catchphrase "Wubba Lubba Dub Dub," which itself is a cryptic reference to Solzhenitsyn's Russian epic Gulag Archipelago. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Ben's genius wit unfolds itself on their phone screens. What fools.. how I pity them. 😂
And yes, by the way, i DO have a Trump tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid 😎
Good question, though this was my first comment in the chain, I personally wasn't complaining (yet).
To be honest, I've just checked the "Top Day" sorting of /c/[email protected], and the news are all about non-USA topics. So in hindsight I guess OP was just doing the usual "lol self-centred Americans" dunking. It is a fact that American news have pushed out the other countries' news from the default news sub on reddit and here (or more likely the system was just replicated on Lemmy by default during the migration), so it's a sort of folklore reaction... :D
