On this occasion I would like to recommend Pedagogy of the Oppressed for the COTW reading list.

Especially if you are a teacher. There are great passages about the humanization of children and other oppressed groups and it makes you think of your class as something like a Maoist guerrilla cell, which can only be a good thing.

This is true but all the things in it that are not fictional reflect fairly well on the USSR, if one has the patience and interest to dig into it

Just gotta spend time at it, I'd recommend Kaiserreich to maintain interest because it's like WW2 balanced for fun. In the base game the USA and to a lesser extent the USSR steamroll everyone every time unless there are some player shenanigans.
