Sort of. Python is a lot more ceremonious about its PEPs or whatever, but there are official naming guidelines for .NET in general at least. The rest of it falls more under the general "this and that is considered 'good' code, this and that is not". You could prefer ancient-style C# or heavily functional C#, there's the SOLID stuff that applies both generally and specifically to OOP, etc

Why would it be?
Best of luck, particularly if this is the way you try to fix the issue.
It really doesn't matter. No matter how right you think you are: if you do this sort of thing, people will likely think you are being a dick.
Ø (the empty set)
(This, of course, assumes you mean economic liberalism. Social liberalism is all right.)
gave me a petty little lecture on all kinds of behavior norms, which I one by one refuted
The fact that you're in here ranting about it, and boasting about "refuting" them, shows maybe they had a point.
That's blunt, but... hey. You were asking someone for help, then looking the gift horse in the mouth, then "refuting" suggestions that it could rub people the wrong way. If people weren't already annoyed, that will definitely do the trick.
Maybe you didn't intend to, I can sympathize somewhat, but that is definitely how it comes across just by reading this.
Don't. It's absolutely not worth the hassle, even of pirating it for free.
Good. As if the game wasn't already 100% "mostly negative" (Bethesda game but somehow even lazier), they have breached technological frontiers in being petulant little shits about the obvious feedback that that practice spawns.
Norway chiming in, god jul!
I learned most of it by trial and error as a kid with fairly shaky English. Most of the type system is fairly logical, and some other internal logic starts making sense after a while - mind you, that logic is still relatively weird in gen1 particularly. As a quick tip, get yourself an Abra or other Psychic type, they are broken as fuck in Red/Blue and you will be meeting a lot of important trainers who are susceptible to Psychic damage.
If it's not for you, that's fine. It was "early days", it's unpolished, buggy, and so on - and that's if the other Pokemon games are your thing. Try FireRed/LeafGreen, they're the same game but in a gen3 "engine" that's a little less primitive.
People who are bored all the time could be depressed. Depression being stigmatized, people won't necessarily want to talk about it more directly, or "bother" other people with it. It could also just be expressing a desire to do something without knowing what.
The people basically encouraging chores (wtf?) or implying they're a manipulative emotional vampire should consider being a little less judgmental.
Good mods/admins don't exist on Hexbear or similar bullshit.
