It's clearly not impossible since any number of people do that every day. I'll grant you it's frequently an exhausting, somewhat dehumanizing, lopsided chore to deal with, relentlessly shittified by profiteering assholes with conflicts of interest, though.

The risks of any specific vaccine must be judged against the risk of actually getting whatever disease. If the vaccines for whatever disease were as/more likely to fuck you up than the disease, then there wouldn't be any point, and they wouldn't get approved.
I once had to place a bunch of different stuff on a video game map. To keep track of where I'd been, I loaded a picture of the game map into Photoshop and made a new layer (partially transparent) so I could color in areas once I was finished with them.
Photoshop itself is obviously massively overkill for this, but it did work pretty well. Transparency and either the brush or lasso-and-fill is all you really need.
