Well that was an entertaining read.

Yup, just added 2FA to my LinkedIn account (not that I use it) and the first step says: "Set up an authenticator app
- Install Microsoft Authenticator app or any other authenticator app of your choice on your mobile device"
Is this like a crumble?
Best to look for an instance that isn't too big or too small, has stuff you're interested in like local news or hobbies. Especially if they talk openly about the running of the instance, costs, what people can do to help, etc.
Yeah I switched last week. There are a few things I liked in Chrome that don't exist (tab groups, PWAs) and the inspector is a bit different for dev work but overall it's pretty good.
One thing I did notice on Google searches is the results show the more custom result boxes for businesses, etc.
Damn I'd forgotten all about the great suspender!
Love YNAB, although never upgraded to the web version from v4. I've heard some bad things here and there and not a fan of the monthly sub so I've stuck with the classic version.
So what's the alternative if this is no good? Is there a FOSS Slack?
I've got the 6 Pro. I cracked the screen which sucked, but for the price they should probably come with a cover.
The fingerprint scanner on the screen works less than half the time. The only thing I've really been impressed with is the camera, other than that I'd go any other phone.
I used to have a Xiaomi Rednote 9 Pro and loved it. Not sure how secure Xiaomi stuff is but was very happy with it, plus the fingerprint scanner was on the side and worked much better.
And good luck to you 😁
Yeah but it's a trade off; if you want to tinker go Linux, if you want an OS that works really well with the hardware it was designed for go Mac. Not sure why anyone would use windows honestly.
