Okay you go first though
I think warmer is better. I’m zone 8. Do they have that zone system in Germany? I think that’s where you are, right? But anyway it needs 110 warm days to grow so you have to time it right I think. I planted it in 3 successions.
Ya that’s basically it I think. I haven’t done it either. But the shell or rind dries completely rock hard. The vines can grow 30’ and only produce one or two so man this had better be worth it!
I asked a local landscaper where he dumps his yard waste and then I went there and asked for green wood. I make spoons with it, so I went back next time and gave the nice lady there a spoon I made. Then I got more green birch wood
I don’t think they can thrive indoors but i can tell you what I would try. Lavender comes from the Mediterranean region and those plants like rocky poor soil, very little water, and full sun. So pick the sunniest spot in the house, fill the pot with rocks and sand and also some dirt, and water maybe every month or every other month. I would also go with a terracotta pot. Good luck! If it works come back and show us
Yum yum! Good luck with that, it sounds delicious. I love big beans like that.
How are these prepared and cooked? I tried growing them once and found it hard to open them up and remove the skin- a lot of work! Is there a trick?
Ya with the cultish thing I have wondered that too. I remember when people started talking about permaculture it seemed that way as well. And I guess I don’t hear people talk about that anymore.
Wow that is an incredible amount of amendments you’re adding! Your veggies must be incredible. Blue ribbons! I make my compost and add that, plus granular fertilizer and manure if I have it. I need to step up my game!
Post a picture here! We would love to see it
You inspired me to get some tomatoes going so I brought home two starts: beefsteak and jet star. Both indeterminate. One already has a little tomato. Should I pluck it and let the vine grow larger in the dirt first?
Kind of like hashtag groups on Instagram or mastodon I think does that?
