Yeah, except they fucked everything with blowing up Romulus and the Picard show. It turned the optimistic futurism into another generic grim 'n gritty dark dystopian sci-fi. It'd be nice to see if they can somehow reset it, but they'd probably have to go another hundred or two years in the future. I don't know how that would jive with what Destiny did, though, as I never watched that.

Unless they cross someone with more money/resources.

Racism/sexism have always been class issues, used to divide the poors or consolidate power. They've just crept into every aspect of society so that the powerful have started drinking their own kool-aid.

Isn't that just a line?

Unless a federal agency steps in for some reason, it's likely to remain a state matter. It's entirely possible that someone at the federal level would try and make it federal jurisdiction just so the shooter can be pardoned, but I doubt it'd have legal precedent. Which means it's likely to be denied on a judicial level.

I'd assume it really depends on the context. Is the comment meant in a serious "help me" kind of way, a defeatist "life just isn't worth living" kind of way, or a joking "millenials and gen z all want to kill themselves to get out of this hellish existence" kind of way?

Not that I have any kind of high opinion of Epic, but isn't Unreal a pretty standard game engine for lots of big games?

Oh? I'm not the one getting bent out of shape because of celebrity gossip.

Oh shit, found Justin Baldoni's account.

Does it have to be exclusive to a "team"? As long as the people are organizing against tyranny and fascism, I'd say it's worth working together.

Unfortunately not everyone is aware that water is wet. And often there are groups who try and convince people otherwise.

I agree that more ideas need to be put into action that can actually accomplish change for the better, but that requires that people be informed first.
